  • absolute classic i must of watched all off there work, i was born in the year that stan died about a hour from where he was born.and i have got all my children weaned on them aswell . god bless

  • Die Laurel & Hardy Filme sieht meine kleine Tochter am allerblibsten, solche Filme wird es ewig geben!!

  • It's amazing seeing Lois as she is now, She played the little girl in Laurel and Hardys epic '' Pack up your troubles''

  • @STHFGDBY wow was that little blondie girl her?

  • @seankinsellasean I was told so, I checked by watching Stan's home movie ( Laurel and Hardy: Stan's home movie) And if you pause it at 0:39 you can see the little girl playing. I'm assuming she is or is related to Stan in some way. I'ts hard to know for certain.

  • This is GREAT! Lois also was on an old VHS tape called "Larel and Hardy at work. On that tape she talks about Stan and shows her film of stan fishing for salmon; she is also seen with Hal Roach. I was born in 1965 and as a youngster my dad used to take to to a pizza joint where all they played was L&H on 16mm - these guys have been with me since. The best duo of all time!!

  • i can remember watching pebble mill at one when i was a child in school.it was a chat show on during dinner break.on the show was lois laurel,it was great to hear her talk of the boys, especially her father, she had all of their films, except one which she put out an appeal for ,because one film has been lost.i wish i could see this clip again,as i can remember it well.LONG LIVE LAUREL AND HARDY.

  • What was the year this was broadcast?

  • how old is she ??? now ? 87 ?? help

  • Stan married many times..1st wife, American, 2nd wife, American, third wife - Russian - and fourth (last) wife Russian. Yes - Lois is still alive but a very old lady now. Lois takes a lot after her mother (no.1 wife) - but she has Stan's eyes! She is a very nice lady - I had a two hour chat with her on the phone - for which I never got to fully thank her properly - so, Thanks Lois!

  • @LaurelHardyLady1 Thanks for that info. I adore Laurel and Hardy.

  • richard madley is such a w****r uve ruined my week his not fit to interview people the mans just an arrogant bastard he always has been, he isnt worthy enough to be in the same room as a laurel.

  • What a delightful clip! I must say, Stan Laurel had a VERY pretty daughter! She must have been QUITE a looker in her day. And she comes across as extremely kind & sweet. Even though he was married quite a few times, it's heartwarming to know he was a devoted & loving daddy to Lois! THANK YOU for posting this fab & fantastic footage! You've MADE my day & my weekend! :)

  • trust fucking Richard to say "they'd already died by then" in front of the daughter

    der!!

  • judy's leg's wow richard your a very lucky man

  • Laurel and Hardy will be with us forever. Thank goodness.

  • Stan Laurel married an American , i never knew that.

  • After viewing the This Is Your Life, Stan Laurel video, it struck me how completely he became another person when he was in character. Although he was perhaps not completely unrecognizable when he was being himself, the pleasant, low-key, soft-spoken Englishman could have walked into a room and said hello without being spotted by people who knew only his on-screen character. He was a brilliant comic actor. He and Oliver Hardy were a brilliant team. God bless them.

  • Is Stans Daughter alive Today ?

  • That home movie footage was taken during the filming of "The Chimp".

  • Stan Laurel (on Oli's death) - "The world has lost a comic genius. I have lost my best friend."

  • ive watched Laural and Hardy since i was a kid, absolutely timeless, still leaves me in stiches!

  • Nothing but shining stars that shall lighten the burdens of stress and fear the grevious world has devoured in.... Laurel and Hardy will live forever as joy amongst us..

    Respect !!!

  • die hat gut gelebt vom geld des vaters................so ist es halt

  • Was watching some Laurel and Hardy stuff on here, and ended up at this video. She seems like a nice person, genuinely down to earth and quite shy and reserved, not " hey, look at me I'm Stan's daughter " or anything like that. Bless her.

  • A very nice interview, she's very classy.

  • @UbikValis2 - Amen to that!

  • Louis is such a sweet nice lady, with found rememberances of her father. You can see rare home movie videos of her as a child with Laurel & Hardy in several of the "Laurel & Hardy Collection" videos.

  • goodness richard and judy look youngish here The programe look like it was recorded around 86 87 I have walked around the Albert dock when this morning was filmed there I saw philip scofield and judy fliming it was great seeing though the studio window briefly I was also there the day when mark the streaker was there it was so funny that day mostly everyone was laughing apart from an old few people but mostly everyone did see the funny side apart from the tv crew for obvious reasons lol

  • I have never seen her before, but yes, she definitely looks like her Father, especially the Eye's.

The width are nearly exactly like his.

  • @sjmacc1412 Me Too! My grandad and I used to watch them on Saturaday evenings and he let me have his DVD collection when he got ill. But I'm 19 lol.

  • @Superbruv07 I remember when I was like 15, I used to get up proper early and used to watch them and I'd wake my family up because I was laughing so hard! Haha! Absolute legends!

  • what was Oliver's birthdate,birthplace?

  • January 18 1892.

    Harlem, Georgia, USA

  • Comment removed

  • Harlem, GA is near Ft. Gordon, GA, (army installation). I lived there for a few years and Harlem was practically down the road from there. Every year they have an Oliver Hardy day on his birthday, since he was born there..pretty cool.

  • @bjane63 they do?

  • wonderful lady, thank you

  • Ollie died in 1957; Stan in 1966.

  • Stan died in 1965

  • Thanks. You're right: Stan Laurel died in 1965.

    Buster Keaton died in 1966.

  • thanks for sharing!

what about the film "stan"...based on a radio play I know, but it portrayed him as a self serving kind of person and not so friendly with Hardy. its great to hear a better side to the story from Lois.

anyone got opinions about that particular film? and is there any full documentaries about them? (i've got collections of the old clips, etc...looking for something more recent if its about)

  • was funny that Stan laurel actually said before he died ............

If any of you cry at my funeral, I'll never speak to you again!
