I think its because "white" isn't a culture. You will find Irish, Italian, Jewish etc. are cultures in the US. I think that there is a 'black' or 'African American' culture in the US (which has been held down more recently than most), hence you have the term used in this way. Obviously there are subsets in all of these, but this is my impression.

We agree in principle, but you need to go deeper to the root cause. Health care is already a highly regulated gov't monopoly, and most incumbent politicians are in bed with them. This is fascist health care, not free market, just some company seeking profit, it's also politicians and staffers receiving perks and political support. This is Mussolini's definition of fascism. But the point is, it's not just corporations, it's government too.
I see what you're saying. My thing with this whole fiasco is how we can move health care in the direction of the people. Getting congress to pass a bill preventing them from benefiting from corruption will be like trying to grow a new arm. Voting doesn't really work because the people who want to honor the constitution don't have money to let themselves be seen. In this instance we need the federal government to step in and open up the interstate insurance barriers under the commerce clause. Then, we need to mandate a standard form that all insurers must use. I think its because "white" isn't a culture. You will find Irish, Italian, Jewish etc. are cultures in the US. I think that there is a 'black' or 'African American' culture in the US (which has been held down more recently than most), hence you have the term used in this way. Obviously there are subsets in all of these, but this is my impression.

I am Canadian,and the reason I'm drawn to American issues is because the American media make such a spectacle of the current issues for ratings sake. And yes, I realize my viewing the media and being drawn into the spectacle is very superficial haha. Also America has become very polarized mostly by the media, this peeks my interest. Many who are opposed to the current reform plan would rather have true universal health care. In my opinion a federal plan would be a bit of an improvement over the current plan. Better than the insurance companies acting as the middle man.

I'm with you however, in that class is a more universal issue, that goes beyond race. Race is a divisive issue that is a little more of a distraction than class can be. Class is almost never blamed as part of the problem of inequality, but race is almost consistently mentioned.

I think the problem is that Paul Jay is absolutely clueless about economics and therefore can't really ask the right critical questions. He tried to even in this interview, mentioning the Ron Paul anti big government movement, but he can't grasp the issue any deeper than the surface so he lets it slip again. It's a shame.

I do believe that we are being used by the Health Care industry, and they will stop a no means to keep us bound to them economically while they hide behind capitalism. We agree in principle, but you need to go deeper to the root cause. Health care is already a highly regulated gov't monopoly, and most incumbent politicians are in bed with them. This is fascist health care, not free market, just some company seeking profit, it's also politicians and staffers receiving perks and political support. This is Mussolini's definition of fascism. But the point is, it's not just corporations, it's government too.

I see what you're saying. My thing with this whole fiasco is how we can move health care in the direction of the people. Getting congress to pass a bill preventing them from benefiting from corruption will be like trying to grow a new arm. Voting doesn't really work because the people who want to honor the constitution don't have money to let themselves be seen. Capitalism is what it was meant to be right now and it what we are witnessing is going to destroy the country if we don't do something.

Actually I am in favor of the Sherman anti-trust law. I also believe that health care monopolies exist in every state. In this instance we need the federal government to step in and open up the interstate insurance barriers under the commerce clause. Then, we need to mandate a standard form that all insurers must use. Sprinkle in tax credits for doctors who practice primary care, and garnish with more tax credits for doctors who treat patients who are uninsured. Free Market Universal Health Care

First we know the bulk of the white supremacist groups are all supporting republicans since lyndon johnson signed the civil rights bill.
