Hey Bob, Thanks. I am going to be heading out in a little while today for another day on the stream. I made a couple changes to my highbanker and want to see how they work and today is like a early fall or spring day. temps in the mid 40's mostly sunny we have had a very mild winter. I hope to be able to bring you all along if I get some good footage. I plan on making some more DIY vids also. Thanks again...

If that area is with in the glaciated part of the state or a wash out goes through it, there is a chance of finding some color.. My favorite saying is, "Gold Is Where You Find It"

@tdz61 by wash out, do you mean "outwash"? the scioto is a outwash, and its 5 minutes from my house. i might have to do some scioto prospecting. nice video too.

hahah oops yeah I did mean outwash, darn blonde fingers... And the Scioto is a major glacial outwash from the looks on my Ohio state glacier map... I know if I lived so close I would for sure be doing some prospecting there...It is like a 3 hour drive for me, but one day I may be able to do some prospecting down that way... Looks like a real interesting area from my topo maps and satellite imaging. Good luck and let me know how you do.. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks for watching and your comment and question. No the sluice is not made from a drain pipe, both the header box and sluice are made from a black ABS truck bed liner.. I have to say it works very well and catches the fines. They are pretty easy to build and lightweight.
