I used to love watching Filho in K1 in Japan. Form went towards the end but this guy was awesome. Not the biggest, not the fastest but christ his technique and strength were amazing. Am so glad I am not the guy at 3:32

amazing karateka, think he could have done even better in K1 than he did, I think filho in kyokushin tournament was different to filho in K1 - he put on alot more weight in K1, whereas in the kyokushin tournament he was lean, I fink becos of that he couldn't move as quick as he did in kyokushin, also never saw many high kicks from him in K1, even though he has devastating kicks and expert timing!!!

Great fighter and great guy! I had the pleasure of training with him and Glaube at Maurice Smith's gym in Seattle. I wish he wouldnt have retired so soon and I still think he won the GP final against Hunt. That fight should have never gone to an extra round.

It` s normal to have a more karete guys on K1! :) The president off K1 is kancho Matsui ( Matsui is a student off sosai Oyama, and president off IKO Kyokushin federation )...

Sooo... Kyokushin is more hard than Taekwondo and other styles...

Hunt won the extension round fairly, but that extension round should not have taken place. Filho should without question have won by points in the regular rounds.
