Was 245 one of the ones de-rated right down to 2400hp? the originals were something like 2700hp put back to 2580hp across the board to stop flash overs or something - like the 50s with the isolated top notch!

All the Class 47s were built with engines that were derated after early engine blocks suffered cracks. Those Class 48s with the 2700hp power units were re-engined with the derated types, I don't kow if 47245 is one of those. As far as I am aware the 2700hp engine were sold to SNCF. The Class 50s, with the exception of the railfreight experiment 50149, were never derated from 2700hp and as far as I can remember the full engine range was available to the driver.

Yeah,it was traveling wrong line up there (it should have been on the other track),however it is bidirectional. Very occasionaly freight does travel along there but only occasionally,this is when they are diverted.

I thought freight cars are taller than passenger cars.

Would typical freight cars fit under those low overpasses?

Or am I mistaken about the heights of the openings?
