''only 10 000 returned''. what about the million Soviet soldiers that died there and all the civilians BECAUSE the Germans marched into the city. it's okay to honor the fallen German soldiers but please honor the others too.
@montrealquebecmuffin You know, that has been done already, countless times by SOVIET PROPAGANDA MOVIES. The movie "Stalingrad" was actually very neutral and respecting toward both sides. Actually it was a very good movie. Even my Jewish friend liked it.
what i love about this film is that it takes out the "call of duty"syndrome. and what i mean by that is that 1 allied soldier does not kill1000 german soldiers. this movie portrays what the germans were really like, not just a bunch of idiots that come out of nowhere by the hundreds. it shows their point of view and what it was like for them

I just watched this movie last night. It's wonderful!! I loved it from beginning to end. The actors were great and the scenes were incredible. Yes gory, but hey-- it probably isn't even as gory as the real battle. The ending was beautiful. It is true when they say the the 1900s was the bloodiest century in human history.
Soooo? We must come to a logical conclusion - do not try to invade us so as not to be defeated. We, Russians, have won. Read and remember great words of our medieval hero, Alexander Nevsky:

@Chezabotva the only reason u won is because u put more men out there (mostly to die) than any other country and basically "overwhelmed" the german forces, which were good enough to fight off the russian forces. if there were as many germans as russians, russians would have lost
