  • MOST ARROGANT TRY - WATCH

    /watch?v=72YGtRhfCgk

  • bloody hell hes quick and good

  • that's just a normal offload with a shit defence line on the other team.

  • @Ridgeyray CRETIN

  • I was shocked when England won this game so easily,i was expecting the Wallabies to win this game easily

  • Niiicce

  • ashton, ashton's going to score!

  • awesome commentary! better than aus

  • in what way is this try brilliant? anyone with pace could have scored it

  • @Ridgeyray 1. Ashton was rapid

    2. Ben Youngs for getting the turnover

    3. Courtney Laws luring the winger in, then passing quickly

  • @Ridgeyray I bet your Scottish

  • @kieran369 no im not actually, just dont see whats so good about running 100 metres in a straight line

  • youngs again sending the camera man the wrong way.

  • Great tackle and turnover by number 5 (Palmer?), great diversion by Lawes and a Maradona run by Ashton. Great try.

  • Fuck he's got some pace on him. Mitchell is no slouch but got made to look like a prop

  • @00:23 love his face ahaha!

  • Put a Rugby League Player in a game of Union and this is what happens.

  • @WiganNProud

Put a rugby league player into a union game and this is what happens.

    /watch?v=UoSn2dW_yaQ

  • tindall made that try

  • i like the sh peolple on here slag it of saying its not good rugby we only had 3 passes but how many time has sh teams turned a team of on the try line n run the pitch it wasnt shit then was it

  • this is a great try from Ashton, but to be honest top to bottom this was a better try for England. His individual effort was class but the steal at the line, and the dummy were equally as impressive. The fact that all three of these events lead to this try is what makes the try

  • Any who says this is an over rated try is an idiot. To out run the whole Australian rugby team, including the full back (who is in his way) deserves credit! Pace, power stamina.

  • MrGranthill33 seems to be an arrogant asshole but he is right about the fact that this is an over estimated try. they barely made 3 passes then the guy ran 90 meters. this is not good rugby.

  • the linesman is sooooo slow

  • Alright this was a good try great speed and all but to go and celebrate before the ball was even grounded was just plain ignorance.Celebrating a try before its grounded is pure bulshit.

  • @TheIrish4Life93 well if you know youve scored may aswelll celebrate early

  • how was that brilliant he was justt really fast

  • LOL to everyone trying to do England down. This was a good try by anyone's standards. TRY OF THE YEAR.

  • gud try nice vid

  • he is a arrogant arse but you cant say that wasn't a good try and he will just keep getting better prorably. One time he will make a mistake with that silly celebration and ill be there to ROFL about it tho!

  • im Englishman i think bar the rwc of 2003 this was probably one of the greatest test match ever from both sides 4 amazing trys and just an amazing atmosphere and game

  • It wasn't even that great a try

  • check out all the Cullen vids on here lol there is no comparison

  • seriously this is the most over rated try ever..........

  • chris ashton = next jason robinson :)

  • @flankergs

Chris Ashton = arrogant prick, and he got a nice dig in the jaw off my main man ROG

  • amazing try .

  • When are England next touring New Zealand? I need a good laugh.....

  • @MrGranthill33 you talk like you're actually one of these awesome players, when in reality you're just sitting at a keyboard fapping over their try scoring records.

  • @salmeus perhaps I am Cullen mate, how would you know?

  • @MrGranthill33

The World Cup.... Why dont you know that?

  • @MrGranthill33 LOL the fact your on here so much means u cant stop playing this video. Probably showing all your faggot mates too right? and your mother? bet shes impressed. Something esle to look at besides her sons shrivelled cock. When are England next touring NZ? RWC mate. Judging by the usual scared, pussy WC performances by the kiwis, England only need to field the Saxons team. Bottlers.

  • amazing!

  • @TheBruiser012 Dude Australia were down to 14 men so its much easier than it looks. Ashton wouldnt get a sniff of making the All Blacks starting15 coz there are so many better wingers than him - actual game breakers!!

  • unbelievable...no1 can knock that...tremendouse

  • @TheBruiser012 lol what a joke England cant play running rugby to save their lives and this mediocre try which was only a try coz of the horrible defence, not the actual skill of the English players(which they just dont have) lol the English are gona get crushed because they cant play 15 man rugby, have always just relied on a big pack of thugs and a number 10 who can kick goals and punt, its way past it use by date and it will be funny to watch England crumble pathetically lol

  • @MrGranthill33 Did you make this comment before or after England vs Italy? England can't play running rugby? About as true as the lie that carrots make u see in the dark.

  • @GeekSport73 LOL against Italy? lolololol!! Anyone can score points against the pathetic Italians ESPECIALLY away from home. This shows what a joke you and the English supporters are hahaha. Try and run like that through the South African defense at home then come here and talk about being able to play open running rugby. As of now you're a joke.

  • @MrGranthill33 Look we all know in England that The Southern Hemisphere teams are superior, but can you try having a bit of humility and just appreciate this was a pure try based on no other evidence but the video infront of you?

  • @PomBare look mate, I see stuff like this every other week in Super 15, Tri Nations etc. Lets face it this guy Ashton is good for an English man I will give him that, but Jason Robinson aside you guys havent had any decent ball runners since the days or Jeremy Guscott and Will Carling......its sad but true.....those sorts of guys must look at the players you guys have today and feel violently ill with what they see. Jason Robinson was class, poor dudenever got any quality ball from his inside

  • @PomBare backs.....the same problem that has faced the mighty Brian O'Driscoll his entire career, one guy cant do it by himself........it is becasue of the UK's appaling negative attitude and tactics that these great players have not been able to flourish to their full capabilities which based on what we have/had seen from them is a frightening proposition.....if only we had seen the likes of BOD and Jason Rob in super 15 we could have seen some vintage rugby...........

  • @MrGranthill33

Well, we certainly don't see a scoreline of 72:65 very often in the NH.

Look, the type of rugby u play depends on many things, amongst them ur opposition and ur ability to impose ur game plan. U dont just show up and say "well we're gonna win by score tries" or or "well we're gonna play 10 men rugby". U play wut's in front of u and u can only beat wut's in front of u.

and even Super Rugby, u get low scoring games, Not a big deal.

  • @vinniechan LOL at playing whats in front of you!! England have been so ridiculously incompetent since 03 (which was the 1 year their pathetic 10 man actually worked, which helped bring the game to an all time low in popularity) because they cannot play whats in front of them, all they can do is keep it in the forwards and use Wilko to kick it. lol anytime Wilko was injured - which was most the time - then they lost any direction and were quite rightly the laughing stock of world rugby

  • @MrGranthill33

Do u support ANY team at all? How was it 10 men rugby and Ben Cohen was seen to ruin the Kiwi back line and JSD ran round Lomu and Chris Cullen? As for 10 men rugby, tournament rugby always becomes conservative cox teams had to do wuteva it takes or get knocked out.

If u think England lost direction cox of Wilko, ur knowledge of this game is superficial at best. The problem is the lack of a ball player 12 (which is not gonna get sorted until we hv a real manager).

  • @vinniechan never saw an englishman run round Cullen and it shows how much you know, his name is Christian Cullen not Chris lol. Yeah Cullen the guy who scored 46 tries in 58 tests......hmm I wonder how many Englishman have scored tries at that rate who have played over 50 tests lol

  • @MrGranthill33

I agree England was horrible to watch in 04 and 05 - every tackle turned into a wrestling match but now the ball is slow cox both sides are competing at break downs. Running and playing out wide aren't everyth in the game. Even those who play touch rugby as their main game will deliberately touch the defence just to get quick ball in the next phase which isn't that different from a pick and drive in contact.

  • Southern hemisphere countries always critise touring northern countries like when ireland went to nz last year, but oz were embarassed by england and munster...point being touring is hard

  • imo the best individual TRY of 2010....amazing speed

  • Holy %*^# that camera was fast

  • @drackbolt almost as fast as him

  • mitchell fail

  • Holy he's fast

  • @ MrGranthill33 lol, ... oh the same old stuff from a kiwi.

Squawk and fluff your feathers all you want laddie..The Rugby world cup will ... once again .. be your downfall.

NZ & England have won it once if memory serves me right.. so even with all your astonishing tries every week... you 'FAIL' when it truly comes down to it!

I myself, would never 'DIS' the All Blacks, because they truly are 'awesome' but until your record improves in the tournament that really matters ... wind ya neck in!!

  • lol@all these mofo England fans thinking this try is all that, dude I come from New Zealand where our team score astonishing tries every week lol you guys blow.....get real, one flukey try doesnt signal an England turn around, your better to get Dads Army outta retirement and play 10 man rugby lol

  • @MrGranthill33 Until your side manages not to choke at the world cup, I will not take your comment seriously.

  • @TRexSam

Well, that guy is a total troll who just refuse to be convinced England can do anyth at all.

  • @vinniechan you have no idea what you're talking about, your team although it beat France was pathetic in the weekend, they kept fluffing chance after chance, what a joke. Wow honestly watching 6 nations rugby this past weekend was just laughable, France, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Italy were all horrendous and Englad blowed, they just played a worse them. The fullback from England, is Foden his name? Now I think that kid might be someone who could open up defences which is what they need

  • @TRexSam thats a pretty shit thing to say, considering I know you don't know every single new zealander.

  • @TRexSam well when we have an 80% winning record against you, all time that is, I think we have the right to be arrogant....cry me a river sweetheart

  • @sovietkomrades I'll admit that's a very impressive record, and sure you have the right to be arrogant..but that doesn't make it a good thing bud :)

  • @TRexSam haha true, I'll try and be nice and humble next time we beat you ;) Actually, humble comment right here, we do have a horrible record of not performing in World Cups

  • @MrGranthill33 Try of the year. An award never won by a kiwi.

  • @MrGranthill33 Which country's been in the last two World Cup Finals? I don't think its New Zealand.

  • @Eoaiyer21987rhei yeah but whats gonna happen this year? you sure as hell wont be there. you were lucky last time with your draw to get to the finals you got crushed by SA in pool play if i remember correctly and your 03 team won with "a big pack of thugs and a 10 who can kick goals and punt" tactic which back then was effective but boring and made rugby a dour contest to watch and thats when rugby was at its most unpopular

  • Pretty good burn. Sick England jerseys

  • What i love most about this is the fact that Ashton STARTING SMILING MANIACALLY as soon as he received the ball!! He just knew he would smoke the Aussies supposedly lying in wait. And was that Drew Mitchell he left trailing in his wake? What a wake up call, lol. Amazingly, after years in the doldrums (but let's not forget they still reached the final of the last WC!), I think England have timed their run to WC 2011 perfectly. And this is NEW England with total rugby.

  • i honestly don't see whats so good about this try? yeah speed but.. GEORGE NORTH FTW.

  • What the song after the try?

  • wat a run his got some wheels,,,Cooper missed the tackle lead to the overclap out wide. But brilliant game of rugby from the english men !

  • Comment removed

  • I saw shades of Josh Lewsey there.... if he stays fit England will do some real damage at the WC

  • 9.999 yeah

  • best england try for a long time

  • Nice post, I was there behind the posts at which he scored. I swear there was a big smile on Ashton's face from the moment he picked up the ball. A tremendous talent, and I hope he stays fit for the RWC.

  • pass by laws was text book

  • awsome speed..check out my clips

  • Well using the scientific 'youtube clock' timing system, he crosses the England try line with the ball at 19 secs and crosses the Aussie line at 34 - so roughly 100m in 15 secs, but factor in not overrunning Lawes at the start, the swerve, and slowing down to celebrate once Mitchell collapsed in despair at his sheer awesomeness, and according to my calculations he is now the 100m world record holder as well as scorer of the world's greatest try ever.

  • @Gallywomack he must do the 100 in the 10s? or atleast the 11s, he pretty much made mitchell his bitch!

  • @Gallywomack great try but not the greatest

  • Cunt.

  • the sheer speed of this guy is insane!!! newspaper says he averaged 13mph and ran 95 metres in under 13 seconds

  • @thecarthorse Usain blot averages 23mph

  • @DerrenBrown100 but usain bolt cant tackle people 3X his size, kick a rugby ball, pass a rugby ball and generally be more awesome

  • @FutureLAD66 best comment on youtube :) love it haha

  • @FutureLAD66 Umm probably seeing as he is a fucking beast.

  • @FutureLAD66 how do you know this? usain can play cricket so maybe he can tackle, kick and pass you just never know

  • @DerrenBrown100 yes but does usain bolt have to dodge half the austrailian rugby team and does usain bolt way close to 16 stone??

  • PACE! he knew he'd scored before he got out of the 22!

  • @drjoefo

This try was a mighty team effort!! If you look at the start, there wasn't an overlap. Palmer made a heroic tackle after making another one, Flood, swarmed it and denied Genia to chance to place the back, Tindall went in won it.

Then Lawes looped over to created the overlap, Youngs read it and Lawes took 2 tacklers with him and the offload found just the right person (image if it had found Croft and Sheridan).

  • good

  • What a try!

  • @bigboi2008uk I could watch it over and over and smile every time its that good :)
