  • Grrrrrr......

  • How the hell can a Diary of a madman movie have "last comment 1 month ago"? It should be at least one comment every second! Rhandy = God.

  • randy es el puto amo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,el y hendrix fueron los mejores.Estaban a otro nivel.randy is god

  • That there was one of the sickest tributes I've ever seen.....Awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song has great timing

  • People can say that Elvis is not dead.

WHY I CAN'T SAY RANDY IS NOT DEAD?

Thumbs up, who belives Randy Rhoads is not dead, he is somewere making his fuckin perfect solos for the great lord!

  • o.O The distortion guitar part at around 4:20 sounds slightly similar to the one riff in Master of Puppets o.O

  • God Bless Randy!

  • Magaria!

  • gooooooooooood song - spetacular, outstanding, awesome edition, your health master On The Rhoads

  • gooooooooooood song

  • i think i will cry

  • Without Ozzy AND the other band members that helped make Diary of a Madman album AND blizzard also, There wouldnt be Randy the Legend. He was still an awesome guitarist, but THIS album, made a huge solid concrete foundation in the music world. Randy had just the right amount of everything to put chills up your spine with some of his leads, not to mention his compositions & riffs were incredible. No one else was laying down riffs like that way back in those days. Complex stuff.

  • like ozzy ,there0's not a day in which I think about R.Rhoads .Excellent tribute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • tragically genius.

  • Today March 19th is the 29th Anniversary of Randy Rhoads death. This guy is truly a legend. The one of the greatest guitarists ever.

  • This brings me back very heavy song for its time. The opening bit of music is an old classical piece from the 1800 or something like that .Fuck great song love it

  • @studio163: If I remember correctly it is written by Leo Brouwer, and he is actually still alive. My guitar teacher once gave me these notes by Brouwer, entitled "Study VI" or something, and soon as I started playing I realised it's the same song I've been playing for years, Diary Of A Madman intro.

29 years ago we lost one of the greatest guitar players of all time. He was talented, innovative, but most of all, a wonderful person. We all miss ya, Randy. Rest in peace...

  • @Monkibomber93 He must 200 years old by now :).Cheers for the info could not remember who wrote the original piece in the first place,

  • @studio163: Actually he was born in the 1930's. I thought he lived in the 16th or 17th century. Guess I was totally mistaken...

  • Damn... I don't know if I could say This is the best song ever... But I really REALLY love it... This song is so.. complete ! From the acoustic part to the riff, to the violin part, to the solo.... Awesomness !

  • i love the part when it changes from clean to metal xD

  • I've seen many RR tributes, this one is right up there. Awesome Diary concert pics, if only I could see that on DVD someday. That gothic stage set up is so cool. Just maybe there will be something from the Diary Tour when they rerelease DOAM and Blizzard/ never before seen Rhoads concert footage. Probably gonna be the Palladium NYC 81' show, which is cool, but that Diary Tour was so incredible.

  • Great tribute RAndy would be proud :)

  • sanity 10 years ago was beyond me

  • to 15 seconds Dee, mother of Randy.

  • Randy was placed 85 on the rolling stones top 100 guitarists of all time list and i find that a disgrace he should be way lower than 85 at least 30 at least

  • o and R.I.P Randy we still miss u and always will

  • 28 years ago he has been gone march 19 1982 ;(

  • I love this fucking jam

  • Great footage....my favorite Rhoads/Ozzy tune.....just an awesome job compiling this.....thanks.

  • This is just one of those songs that will never die. Randy was truly amazing.

  • this is an amazing video. i love randy rhoads! Im getting his jackson signature guitar for christmas

  • wow man! you really captured something there, i cant put it into words, that was awesome!

  • a lot of people talk about what good is when it comes to guitarists. they talk about speed or emotion. but i think the best way to measure the greatness of a guitarist is to go into a guitar store and hear what all the rock musicians are playing. and you know what? it's always crazy train. who says he wasn't influential? what guitarist doesn't know that famous intro within a moment of it beginning?

  • I get chills every time I here Randy and yet he gets no credit just like all metal bands because everyone likes that fag rap and hip-hop.

  • i know dude i have never got that rap has what some dude singing they write a song in a day a good rock/metal song takes like a few mouth's to do this song it toke him like allmost a full year to get up to the solo!! and what does he get yelled at bye little fag that call them self "rapper" rip anyone and eveyone who has died rocking cliff dime randy kurt

  • @Unchined1 long delayed but there are ppl out there who listen to ALL musical spectrums -I was brought up on Fleetwood Mac, Eagles and so on. Age 9 comes around and I hear Crazy Train for my first time and I was like "Whoa!". Age 20 comes around and I'm a bar DJ, playing that "heeep Hop" crap - Nothing can compare to this music, without it, we wouldnt have the hip hop rap crap thats out. Credit for credit earned, Music is wonderful in all of its forms

  • @Unchined1 he gets no credit? what you talking about man your giving him credit and everyone below

  • Good Song. Love Randy Rhoads, I cannot play your solos but I can play them in key!

  • randy was such an underated guitarist

    awsome tribute!

    awsome song.

  • dude... he wuz never underrated...he dide early which is why he isnt that famous

  • Its a shame he was so young when randy died.

  • randy was the best guitarest ever

  • Well put together video. Awesome tribute.

  • thanks for loading up the real song man....I've been trying to get people to go and discoverer the original mix

  • did yall no that randy was playing the flute and violin

  • no, he wasnt dumb ass

  • Where was that at 4:20?

  • rip rhandy... the best always die young he was in that category ...i thanks him for what he created befor he died

  • This is awesome so many people on here wanna argue over the dumbest things but all of you all really appreciate true talent and just a unbelievable guitar player R.I.P Randy Rhoads

  • Great job. So grateful this song was written ..

  • i hope theres a youtube in heaven so randy could see how much people still cherish him.

  • Randy Rhoads is the best

  • randy is the greatest

  • awesome song. Pure magic. Randy is just freakin amazing.

  • no words can descirbe how much this song kicks ass

    R.I.P. Randy

  • I hate people who hate classics like m friend Jeremy, she says Randy Rhoads scks and Fall Out Boys and Slipknot rule and are true legends. And he thinks Randy was in Black Sabbath and was thier lead guitarist, Hes fat and stupid and dosn't even know what hes talking about, that pisses me off, Slipknot and Fall Out Boys suck but he thinks they are legends. Randy Rhoads is a true legend and was a Guitar God.

  • RANDY RHOADS is very talented and still a legend!! he IS the most skilled person on the guitar.

diary of a madman was beautiful classic and metal. No one can sound exactly like him

for my daughter, she plays the song in memory of and very well and i'm porud to say that she and i both remember Randy. for all people out there who thinks he's nothing. YOU"RE jealous because we all know he's a blessed angel of a guitarist R.I.P RR ur still remembered

  • Im gonna ressurect Randy. Whose in?

  • i'm down, i'll take the car battery

  • I'll go get Ozzy

  • Sweet. Im sure Ozzy will be happy

  • this song is so good R.I.P randy

  • man thank u so much. This is so touching thnx again.>R.I,P Randy u are a Legend...

  • amazing

  • just my opinion but to all the people that put there ages in their comments about randy (who we all love) , i don't think your age matters too much... i think saying rap sucks and randy rules is enough!

  • rap sucks!!! randy rules!!! (sorry, i'm 42)

  • Rap sucks! Randy rules! (16)

  • Nice video 5 stars, we all love Randy and it would have been nice to see how this song is pulled off live

  • im 15 and rhoads has been my fav guitarist for about three years he the only reason i play guitar he is the greatest influence but nobody my age knows who he is except some of my friends

  • well in your area where i live everybodys heard of him but its sad to see that not alot of people know who he is anymore you know. BUT randys the best guitar player ever!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yeah he is the best

  • im fourteen rhoads has been my favorite guitarist for two years. he is a genius. thats enough said you arent the only one

  • sweet

  • i feel the same way, only i'm sixteen and he's been my favorite for about the same period of time, and his guitar playing is amazing, it blew me away when i actually knew it was him playing crazy train, and especially on over the mountain

  • Hey look, Ive been a fan of rhoads since i was 6, that was 10 years ago, i still am. But, was rhoads such a big influence when he was alive? and like why do you become ten times more famous and appreciated after you die? Wasnt during this time, people were more fascinated by evh? Im not trying to sound like a douche

  • "Blizzard" was introduced in 1980; the first time I heard Ozzy's new band was the summer of 1980 on legendary radio station KMET. By that time EVH had changed the world and rock guitar as an art form. The music world was looking for the next Eddie, wanting to know if he was a freak of nature or a signal of a new generation of guitarist. Randy was the person many were looking for as he was different than Eddie-classically trained, formally educated and a passionate student of the guitar (more)

  • Eddie was incredibly innovative and brought a white hot groove back to rock guitar. Randy was musically educated and skilled, had a deep desire to learn more about music than just playing fast and loud. Since Randy didn't hit the airwaves like a neutron bomb as EVH did, it took awhile for people to understand what he was doing and how he was doing it. Musicians were influenced by Randy as they could see he knew what he was doing. That's why RR has this staying power 25 yrs after his death.

  • great job synchronizing the video with the song. Randy was an amazing guitarrist

  • why is it such a big deal!? enjoy this beautiful piece of musical fusion!

  • buckhead blows. what he writes sounds like video game music

  • lol true

  • i totally agree, but. he is an ok guitarist...buy randy is guitar god

  • you think so?

i love buckethead. it doesnt sound like video game music at all. idk maybe ur listenin to different songs than i am.

randy rhoads is great and so is buckethead. i dont want to get into an argument of who is better tho

  • Well done video

  • Holy...

you are, as you of course know, completely correct! Been a fan of 'Diary' for decades and had NO idea it was an interpretation of Brouwer's work. Thanks for insight! peace

  • Yeah, it was a awesome the way Randy interpreted it, and fused it with "Diary..."

Too bad some people refuse to accept it for what it is, cause it was a very cool way to cover something.

  • ok, then wheres it from?

  • Thank you for making this vid. Randy Rules!

  • You saw what Jimmy Page did with Stairway Heaven.

Diary of a Madman is what happens when RANDY RHOADS gets ahold of Am Pentatonic!

  • buckethead has no emotion, he couldnt even touch randys playing

  • Buckethead and Randy are two different guitar players. both with emotion and skill.

Don't diss buckethead because he is talented just like Randy

  • bucketheads talented, very. but randy blows him away. i get cold chills every time i hear this album, when i hear bucket head play im like, how in the hell does he do that. but randy was one of the greatest and there will never be another randy, ever. and it really sucks. im just saying buckethead can play good but thats about it.

  • am sorry what? randy rhoads was way beyond buckethead

  • Nice tribute, by the way

  • Does anyone know where the intro is from?

I believe it's a spanish classical/flamenco style from way back.

  • RANDY! We miss You DUDE!!

  • its tuned half a step down, top string is D#. start from standered tuning if you dont know how to tune down, make the 6th fret of the top string sound like the A string ( second from the top ) then start at the 5th fret on the top E string and start tuning the whole guitar down half a step by tuneing it how you would tune normally...

  • One of the best intros of all-time.

  • i agree

    \m/

  • yea its tuned down

but i dont know to what?

    neone know to wha?T?

  • E flat

  • why did you have to leave so soon randy?

  • im trying to learn this song...can anyone tell me if this song is tuned down half a step

  • I love this song, it's amazing. RIP Randy.

  • Ozzy didn't originally want to do this song, but Randy talked him into it.

  • this is a live version?

  • No, is a studio version. Thanks

  • This song is everything a good song should be. Randy was truly an artist.

  • After Sabbath this was the only time Ozzy was a musician.

Fuck I love Zakk Wylde, but this is one of my personal favourites.

  • The greatest guitarist ever. Sure, there are faster, but none of them can be even close to how good Randy was. RIP

  • its a tradigie that he died. think about how good he was then and then think about how good he would have been today. RIP Randy.

  • the best guitarist that ever lived. rip. you are my inspiration to never stop playing.

  • The ending is great imo

I started playing guitar from him....and i know 88 other favorite metal bands with good guitarists that i could easily be inspired by.

but nope, Randy Rhoads is the one and only RIP, thank god you were born with such incredible talents

  • no, let me edit that

EVERYTHING in this vid is great imo

  • The beggining intro sends chills donw my spine

  • great vid nice job. :)

  • one of the greatest guitarists in the history of the world! the world misses you!!!! Great vid! keep going!

  • I Lock at this video every day :P

  • me to man

  • ill 2nd that also

  • same here man but i look at it

  • Randy Rhoads is a guitar god! Easily Ozzy's best Tune.

  • Pretty cool bro! One of the best tunes of all time!

  • Gotta love that sick-ass metal. One of my favorite songs ever!

  • Tools sounds better? OMG you must be kidding. Am I the only one who thinks this? The original recording cannot be beat.

  • You can suck my tool. Randy Rhoads redefined heavy metal guitar while Tool is an overly popular nu metal abberition.

  • best video on youtube

  • EXTREMELY well done. I still get choked up when I remember that day. Very very good. THX.

  • Great Tribute one of my favorites!

You did a great job, i give it five stars

    =]

    RIP

    Randell William Rhoads

  • ozzy's best song EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • the little sentence at the end is true, Randy's music is wut inspired me to get up and start playing my guitar.

  • the best song ever

  • i heard that they all just hung out with each other alot, not that randy was influenced by them i dunno my research might be wrong lol

  • Rhandy was a legend, greatest guitarist ever in my opinion, but legends aren't just born. Practice people, practice, it's not enough to dream, you gotta chase those dreams. Sociesty is generally less accepting of "Guitar Heroes" today with all the hip hop and grunge metal.

  • ily u randy ur amazing!!!this vid makes me sadd :( (in a good way)

  • The Picture at 0:05 is Beautiful.. R.I.P Randy...

  • yeah the angel picture. my favorite rockstar pic ever. got it over my bed R.I.P Rhandy. We will always love you. now your in heaven having a cold one with dimebag and Hendrix.

  • r.i.p. randy rhoads...we will never forget you!!!

  • RNADY FTW!!

  • gotta love his hair at 00:12.

i think i get where emos got their "new", "original" hair style.

  • I saw Randy Rhoads a month before he died...to this day I find myself grieving for his loss. Not only was he the greatest guitarist ever, but the hair was unbelievably gorgeous! I tried many times in my teenage years to get it to look like Randy's.

  • I have the same Birthday as Randy

  • I actually went to the city where Randy was buried. San Bernardino i believe. We were in LA, and my parents drove me to Randy's burial point. I went to his grave and put some flowers on his grave. I've never felt a more traumatizing moment. bout 5 feet below my feet, my favorite guitarist was buried. RIP Randy, betcha showing Jesus how to rock, with Jimi Hendrix, John Bonham, and John Lennon. Rock on.

  • No Mountain view

  • i love the verse music!

    and the intro! =]

  • before i heard this song. I didn't care for classical guitar. But after hearing this i play it all the time.

  • Randy actually said he wouldn't mind inspiring kids and being called a Guitar Hero. Look today, Randy inspired Zakk to play and Dime, he's inspired a lot of neo-classical metal guitarists, he's inspired kids to play. Randy was a God of guitar.

  • randy was the god of guitar, he inspired ppl who ppl think now are guitar gods

  • Yeah, my two favorite guitarists, Dime and Zakk said if it weren't for people like Randy, there would be no Zakk or Dime. Think about that? And Zakk is now refered as one of the last living guitar heroes left too. Personally, Randy, Dime, and Zakk I consider them all equals in guitar playing.

  • Last living? As if they're a classifiable species o_O theres plenty of legends born each day, just gotta keep your eyes peeled

  • Hey I didn't say I called him the last living, I just hear it a lot lately and they've even posted it in a couple guitar world magazines when they interview him saying "People refer to you as one of the last living guitar heroes." There are still plenty of them alive like Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, there are still plenty alive. And eventually there will be a new guitar hero out and about, but there hasn't been one for awhile.

  • wouldnt call Zakk a legend or hero just a super-guitarist

  • love the song, love the guitarist

  • Very cool Vid,and a Great Tribute to Randy Rhoads,I remember the day he died very well, and as an Ozzy fan..since his days with Sabbath,my opinion is that "Diary of a Madman" is the greatest Rock song ever made!

Thanks a bunch for posting this Video,It brought tears to my eyes..and broughyt back a whole lot of great memories for me..JUST AWESOME!!!
