@julienstreet Well, hard to say. If you get the fatter Swede, it might sound more like a Gibson. The Ultra /slim models probably don't have as much wood, so the sound won't be as thick. In my mind, Gibsons sound thick and chunky, whereas the Hagstrom Ultras sound silky and smooth.

@julienstreet Standard Epiphone's can't be compared to Gibson's. I'd say Gibson's are the best choice, Super Swede Hagström's are good guitars and Epiphone's aren't good guitars. The brand belongs to Gibson, that's all and not enough.

@theLanguageLab Actually, this is the Select version. It's mahogany with maple top, and it's a little thicker than the basic ultra swede. Most people get confused by this.

From what I know, the Ultra Swede is a little thinner than the Select and might be basswood instead of mahogany. So basically, the sound might be a tad bit thinner, but that's just my guess...I hear it's great.

Yes it does. It goes into your USB port (of course, you'll still need a standard guitar cable).

It's in the Gearbox software that comes with the TonePort. When you open up the program, you'll see a button that says "tone library." You can search from there. If you're still having problems, PM me ... it's right in there though.
