the movie is so intense and sad but there was something wrong. In that movie, there were lots of students who were dead but the director wanted to put "april" in the spot light, and this is how where everyone started to remember her at the end of the movie....okay....what about the others? lol it just seemed that just because she was realy pretty, that means hell with the others :/

yeah I think the fence was definitly but in there as a sign of drama just like the Titanic scene. People wanted to get as far away from the school as possible in case he would shoot out the window or if the school was going to explode; the fence is like keeping them trapped inside a sinking ship or a school filled with guns, explosives and dead bodies. Panic and fear it's a symbol for added drama I really like it...cant wait to see the film

actually it was the other way around. dylan was more shy and suicidal and eric was just verryy angry and a smooth talker. eric was more liked. read dave cullens "columbine" and it explains everything.

yeah through all the interviews it said that Dylan was the one that was bullied and didnt have any friends...He was shy and just depressed but it also said Eric was the psycopath, but he had friends, he was a smooth talker like you said...However during the shootings it explains that Dylan is the one that taunts his victims before he kills them whereas Eric was very quiet. Maybe Dylan did this because he was bullied and shy and now he had the power. I dont know??

It's Columbine. The anniversary of Columbine was yesterday, the 10 year anniversary. Columbine '99 happened when kids named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold shot up Columbine HS. It is believed they targeted mainly jocks and bullies and people wearing hats, blacks, and christians, but basically they shot whoever they came across. 15 people died, including themselves when they shot themselves after everything. They tried pipe bombs which they planted in the cafe b4 lunch, but none detonated.

I was thinking the same exact thing. Even the line: " What's this fence doing here?" and the music and everything. It's pretty dumb how they used that, when the actual Columbine didn't even have a fence around it.

The similarity to Titanic, I can't speak for. The fact that columbine had no fence, I can. This movie is not made to be an exact copy of columbine. Thus, not every aspect of the film has to be in line with the event. Columbine also didn't happen in Nebraska, but this did. Suspense of disbelief. A magical thing.

I think the whole point of the scene was to create the sense of fear and mass hysteria by the students. The shooter is probably still in the school not giving a crap about what's going on outside but those students would panic about a fence keeping them from running further away from the shooting.

the fence was probably a symbol of how bad they were trying to get out of the school. Maybe used it to add more drama.. though the whole situation is drama [[no offence, just saying..u know wat i mean.]]
