  • Hmm. There seems to have been a spontaneous outbreak of over-acting in this episode. Even the sublime Mr Brett seems to have slightly caught the bug...

  • @CliffTheMeerkat probably due to the director if it's everyone.

  • I love how Holmes is seated in the master's study and Watson just gets to stand behind him :D

  • These adaptations of Sherlock Holmes always manage to find the creepiest, chubbiest, most pink faced men possible. If you'll recall Dr Roylott in the Copper Beeches, he also had a fine example of a "rape voice."

  • The Inspector guy is driving me nuts....

  • holmes looking sharp in his all black outfit

  • I love the look on Holmes's face after he strikes the window. It's pretty epic.

  • I like that Sherlock and Watson ride bikes!

  • Seeing as where they were is just outside London it's not improbable.

  • Do you ever notice that no matter where Holmes/Watson are in England, they always can get back to London for a half day? That must have been some railroad system. And the woman, with no coat, is dragged into the railroad car and she doesn't scream? Also, the inspector is a publicity hound! lol Forget that his constible has just had his thumb bitten off, lets go brag and laugh with Sherlock. ho hum

  • @Songsmirth She was too drugged to scream according to the book. She was, however, able to regain enough of her senses to realize she was in danger, and to therefore attempt an escape.

  • @Lyrictheac Whilst not shown on-screen, the actress certainly does portray someone who is drugged, so kudos to her or the writer for remembering to keep that detail in even if the reason is never shown.

  • @2206411411 I think they kind of mention that she was drugged though. Or they at least imply it. I don't remember.

  • WATSON for the MFW!

  • Those top hats are magnificently tall.

  • Watson would make a great father!

  • How very useful an exercise was bicycling in the late nineteenth century. A pity it is not so highly thought of nowadays.

  • such pity one can be killed by wreckful motorists!

  • check out any city or town in the Netherlands, or Germany, Belgium, France :)

  • @FredericDaguerre It's so dangerous nowadays with the crazy drivers! But that is a poor excuse. I guess most people are simply either too lazy or too busy to enjoy a bike ride on a nice day. It is a rather enjoyable diversion.

  • Thanks Anish you are on my top subscription please keep these coming

  • That villian has the perfect Villian's Throne!

  • Well done, Holmes and Watson! Rescued the lady and gave the villains a bad jolt!
