Yeah its a 30 minute remake of the original hour long movie "Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans" that was released in 1992. This is from 2010. Its only been released so far in Japanese with English subtitles because Funimation (English DBZ voice acting company) hasn't bought the copyrights for it yet.

I don't mind watching anime in their original Japanese forms, but Goku's Japanese voice sounds like it could belong to an old woman. I prefer the English because it feels more adult and masculine. It's just personal preference; I was just commenting because I had never heard it before and was really surprised.

Stop bitching about the dubs, almost all of you are supposed to be used to the english dubs because almost all of you saw the show with the english dubs, if you saw the show in japanese you would be used to the japanese dubs, it's obvious, so stop saying these or other dubs are shit.

I'm latinoamerican and I'm obviously used to the the latinoamerican dubs, but I also like the japanese and english ones since I was used to play Budokai 3 (english) and Tenkaichi ones (japanese), I like all dubs.

These are the characters real voices hand picked by Akira Toriyama. Show some respect. Without these guys there would be no DBZ. And just because the English Goku sounds "tougher" doesn't mean its better. GOKU IS NOT SUPPOSED TO SOUND TOUGH. English fans have a warped view on what DBZ really is because the English dub was heavily edited and made into a childrens show. Japanese DBZ has much more swearing and its aimed at teens and adults.

Thats probably because you grew up on the American version. Goku's Japanese voice takes time to get used to. I thought it was weird at first too but once you watch enough Japanese DBZ you'll understand why he sounds that way. You can't compare it to the English version because because its a different culture. Original Japanese DBZ is extremely epic and the most respected anime of all time though so don't let Gokus voice keep you from watching it. It will make you a bigger DBZ fan :D
