4 flaws. 1. Why would a tiger just sit there and let the lion trip over it? And why would the lion even trip over in the first place? 2. The tiger is bigger, not the lion. 3. A tgers paws naturally get stiuk in a tgers mane and a tiger cant get a full bite either cuz the main goes too far in the tigers throat. The male lion is extremely lazy. When it comes to the lion, it's mostly about the females. They do most of the hunting. I see no reason to believe that the lion is the more skilled fighter. Not even the more aggressive one. I would trust Dave since he know's both cats really well, but he goes with the lion.

They are more agile, but then, lions strike in a manner which optimizes both balance and power, and they are more aggressive, with a protective mane.

Lions fight more than tigers, as they live in groups, and there are many more lions per square kilometer, compared to tigers.....which means more competition over resources. Lions have that protective mane of theirs, and they are more aggressive and persistent on a fight. Due to the particular method they use when striking....they can also strike harder.

This is the only outcome that I don't agree with. I think a Bengal tiger would beat a lion. Imagine if it were upgraded to a Siberian tiger, lol. As a specie the lion are better fit to survive because they live in prides.
Siberian tigers are usually heavier (fat) and longer than the lion, but the lion are taller, faster and better at fighting in group. All other tigers are smaller except occasionally the bengal tiger. Some populations of lion are great at hunting in forests, like the Indian lion. African lions are usually only found hunting on grasslands.

4 flaws. 1. Why would a tiger just sit there and let the lion trip over it? And why would the lion even trip over in the first place? 2. The tiger is bigger, not the lion. 3. This is definitely not how a tiger fights. They fight with BOTH paws. 4. There's no evidence that the mane is used as protection.

@davidspade200 um the first two flaws dont matter cuz the point is they both started at square one after the rolling and wat not. Your third flaw dosnt really matter because of your fourth flaw. A tgers paws naturally get stiuk in a tgers mane and a tiger cant get a full bite either cuz the main goes too far in the tigers throat. When the tigers claws get stck, the lion tends to go for the throat. A simple win, a tiger has low chance of wining!

And about your claim about fighting to the death, 30% of tiger deaths result from a fight between two males. When tigers are provoked and do fight, they can get extremely nasty. Virtually every tiger fight results in one of the tigers at least getting injured. They fight all the time for territory. Lions just get into simple rumbles.

The male lion is extremely lazy. When it comes to the lion, it's mostly about the females. They do most of the hunting. I see no reason to believe that the lion is the more skilled fighter. Not even the more aggressive one. I would trust Dave since he know's both cats really well, but he goes with the lion.

Lions have a higher proportion of fast twitch muscle fibers, which are bigger and stronger than the other muscles of the body, with more developed upper arms (i`m not guessing, mind you.....i have the data). They are more agile, but then, lions strike in a manner which optimizes both balance and power, and they are more aggressive, with a protective mane.

Tigers are an avg 50 pounds heavier is what i have read, 50 pounds is a lot of difference. Its bite force is significantly higher than lions. Other than the fact that lions are better at combat because they spend almost 3 yrs practicing with their siblings, i dont see how a lion can win against a tiger.

Lions fight more than tigers, as they live in groups, and there are many more lions per square kilometer, compared to tigers.....which means more competition over resources. Lions have that protective mane of theirs, and they are more aggressive and persistent on a fight. Due to the particular method they use when striking....they can also strike harder.

Tigers are slightly longer in head to body length, but lions are longer and it is not entirely due to the length of the legs. BTW....the biggest lion in the wild was 312kgs, 8feet long, while average bengal tigers are 375kgs,10 feet long, siberian tigers are sometimes even more than 400kgs, 13 feet long!!! If some Asian company or folks were working on this, they would definitely make Tiger a winner. @rointz Guinness book of records has 2 accounts of real Tiger/Lion fights, and in both the tiger won. First kill was bites and claw strikes to the lions abdomen and the second was a bite to the lions neck crushing it's spinal cord.

@rointz bro, what r u talking about. tigers are stronger and heavier than lions. its a simple math that tiger is more likely to win!!! ths\is fake face-offs doesn't make any sense. none of their videos do. i've seen real fights of lions and tiger and in my experience i've never seen a lion could preserve his pride while fighting a tiger. even i've seen 2 male lions couldn't defeat a single female tiger. its barely impossible for lion to beat tiger....

@bigcatsliontiger tiger is substantially stronger than lion. lions are not born to fight but to sleep. tiger is much more skilled fighter than lion, coz tigers are solitary and have to hunt and fight alone, while lazy lions do all in a pride. in a serious 1 on 1 fight, tiger will always win against lion. no doubt about this. tiger has larger muscles than lion.
