really like this, it ties in to some of my silat background for the throw, and a basic clinch scenario, bit i'd never transitioned the two like this. i plan to work on this one until i can claim to have invented it. great stuff, and a perfect example of how awesome this era of martial arts is. every year brings so many new and improved techniques as great artist such as yourself blend and add to the mix. . best wishes and respect
You know that in Silat this would be called a Kinjit. Although I am not sugesting that traditional Silat training is a substitute for wrestling/mma there are some good techniques that can be stolen without having to learn/study the whole system. Check out the Kali Tudo dvds from Dog Brothers Martial Arts, they are pretty effin cool. Nice vid
that will never work. you are forcing a duck under. stick to mma. im getting very frustrated watching these bjj guys teaching wrestling moves let alone ducks
I'm no expert but doens't BJJ have elements from CACC? I believe Mitsuo Maeda fought with Catch wrestlers before he taught Kano Jujutsu (later known as Judo) to the Gracies?
this won't work against any wrestler worth his salt. ok technique on performing the duck, but the finish is extremely flawed. you leave way to much space.
great technique and insight on Russian wresters. Where is Seacoast? We use Russian/Persian olympic and catch wrestling as the basis for our instruction as well. I posted a response of one of our videos where Kamal uses a Russian 2 on 1 to end up in the same position.
Could I ask you something? I don't mean any offense, but it seems like there are bits of Judo and BJJ and Sambo in your Catch Wrestling. Reminds me of Shoot Wrestling, which uses Catch as it's base style and template. Shoot Wrestling is considered by many to be "Catch Wrestling with some Judo, sambo, and Jujitsu added." Did you ever notice your style resembles Shoot Wrestling?
Yeah, I think everyone adds something to their brand of catch. I trained in Sambo and went to many Paulson clinics and seminars so I think my catch is reflective of my cross training.
slick takedown. Russian ties so underrated.

I like watching vids from your school because they motivate me to get off my butt and go to my school, only because I don't live in NH.
