  • ive tried training here before

how did you get enough potions to keep yourself alive?

ive only made it to like lvl 10 in that area before i had 100 health and no potions

  • There is an area that has enemies drop plenty of potions.

  • @ulillillia

would you care to tell WHICH ONE?

  • Unfortunately, I don't remember exactly. I do know that it's before the save point is reached.

  • @roxasfruit at 2;30 on the vid thats where you want to be they will drop potions and ethers just run up and down that pipe or get a modded controller and let that do all the work for you!!!

  • @roxasfruit if you're still wondering it's after you get off the elevator and at the bottom of the big staircase. I got around 25 potions from enemies.

  • Awesome :)

I've been trying to decide what FF to replay, and this grinding has reminded me how much I enjoyed 7 strangely xD

  • great videos. you have a level of commitment to video gaming i admire. thanks for everything!

  • lol this not fast leveling noob

  • lvl 12 in 7 minutes I am SO doing this

  • thank's for the info i went to level 12 and it has worked wonder's for me =]

  • till what level did u train here?

  • I usually go to about 10, sometimes as high as 12.

  • FFVII is still one of the high points of my video game career...from the story to the graphics to the pace, 5/5!! I really enjoyed the universe it was in...technology and magic rubbing elbows and all. Even just experimenting with the materia system was dope...I played through the 1st time with out a guide & would suggest the same for any first time player!!

  • this is a good guide, only thing is, i gotta pik up the game and play again... -_- tennis has ruled my life...

  • And then as soon as I type that, you go upstairs. Ignore me!

  • I think in the area upstairs of this one, there's at least one encounter that'll give 100+ exp.

  • This game needs to be remade. But what I think would be cool...

Storyline, characters, dialogue exactly the same. Same towns, same materia system etc.

  • Improvements "I" would like for more of a challenge...

Harder to get gil, harder to level, more sidequests, more areas/towns, more weapon/armor/materia choices that can be customized, some enemies level up with you but still give same xp, final blow char gets more exp, overkill, characters specialize in a particular area (like in X) harder to beat the game, harder to get rare items, gil/items found in random places each time (like in ff9) and of course, better graphics. XD

  • OMG i haven't heard this song since i played this years ago... wtf man the OST and mp3s have gypped me!! haha

  • Try running around in the area where jessie is

    More exp per battle, guaranteed

  • but it takes forever to grind here tho :(

  • For much beyond level 12, it will take a while. If you want level 99 as early as possible in reasonable time, look into the Junon alarm case or my fifth or sixth leveling grounds.

  • Why? Why would we want to watching grinding?

  • To learn the enemy behaviors more, to speed the process up.

  • I might give this a go but it normaly takes me a day to finish the first disk because ive had Final Fantasy 7 since 1999 when i was 7 so i have most things inplanted in my head like the space ship code which is circle square x x

  • Hahahahaha i remember that, i also used to have the code to unlock vincent memorized but it's been a while since i played the game.

  • @winnrar what is the vincent code then?

  • I still have the code to unlock Vincent memorized XD 36 10 59 97

  • i can one-up you there bud. :P

    Right 36

    Left 10

    Right 59

    Right 97

and if i recall, the code for the shinra rocket is square, circle, X, X though not certain on that. it's been a while

  • lol ive been playing since i was 3...thats bad

  • ive been playing since it came out im 15 now lol it was hard when your young huh but u somhow go on your file about 5 years later and think how am i lvl 50

  • Comment removed

  • i dnt see the point of doing this on disk 1. i want bosses like gi nattack. (dnt quote me on spelling) to be a challenge. ive completed this game and i still regret training to 99 and maxing everything. cause i could kill safer sephiroth in 1 attack. i would of liked a challenge

  • Final fantasy may not be the right series for you. As Ulillillia (spelled wrong, probably) uses to say the series lacks challenge.

  • Not much actual "leveling" time is needed for this game. Following the story should be enough. My first time, I even placed my save point in the final cavern after I approached the end. I could no longer exit the 'dungeon'. I merely went down at level 40-ish and still beat Sephiroth.

The next time I played I was much more thorough in my exploration, as I was already familiar with the story. I found many tidbits I had previously missed and found great enjoymant in it.

  • You can escape from the crater and its not called dungeon........

You missed alot of things that are impaotant..........

  • If you go to the last point before going through the final gauntlet, you CANNOT exit any longer. I verified it later in a guide just to be sure. In my second play-through, I placed my save-point before getting to the point of no return, and I was able to leave the crater and re-enter as I wished.

I also put dungeon in quotes, as I realize it`s not a dungeon in the usual sense. I guess you missed that.

My point is that I waste no time levelling and I was able to finish the game at level 40.

  • You didn't waste any time leveling?

    You didn't beat those weapons?

  • Apparently the user wasn't focused on reaching high levels early. I've never been past disk 1 without someone on level 99.

  • I have always found the gameplay is more naturally suited to the levelling spread out over the storyline.

  • and also. i went for ruby after emerald. and since i had knights of the round. i beat it in a few moves with all my party mimicing it against him. yes i fought ruby with 3 people.

  • Same here, Ruby after Emmy. I didnt use KotRT though, as I despise sitting through the animation. I just had Cloud use W-Item tossing himself an X-potion and Hero Drink (to keep his stats maxed at all times) each turn and had about 10 Counter-attack materia equipped. Every time he was hit he hit back ten times. It was still about as long as using Knights, but it was a bit more ineractive :P

  • I didn`t on my first run through the game. In subsequent plays I did beat both weapons, (and without using summons or magic materia).

  • WTF?

    BLOODY HELL!!!

I'm trying to get an extreme final fantasy 7 player to get all characters stats and all master materia for all characters and all 4th limit breaks for all characters and all the best weapons for all characters!

If you can do that challenge, you're a pro

  • All I ever did was enough MAster materias for my main team, and maxed a few stats on Cloud (with max speed on everyone else). I have played the game 5 times and even Im not crazy enough to try to max out every character :P

  • I'm just saying

    if anyone can do that...

    that is final...

  • Yeah, then it would be time to move on to Final Fantasy 8 and complete that one 100% ^_^

  • u kidding. thats child's play

  • wat u mean both weapons there r 5 weapons

  • I meant Emerald and Ruby, the two that are the strongest, and are totally optional.

  • err ultima is optional to kill aswell.

  • I didnt say he wasnt, I specifically named the two strongest, and I added that RUby and Emmy are optional. Ultima is not on the same level as the other two, anyways.

  • im fully aware how much more difficult ruby and emerald are. emerald harder than ruby in my oppinion.they were still easy.

  • Ruby is regarded as harder by everyone I have spoken to, and every magazine I have read. I would have to agree, if only because you can use your whole team, and it can be a 3 to 4 minute battle. Even with Hero Drinks, Ruby takes quite a while to take down as he has much higher resistances.

  • i know rubys regarded as harder. i never use hero drinks i dnt see the point in them. thing is. back when i was fighting the weapons i coulldnt kill in 1 move. and i have always relied on materia to make me as strong as i was. id have as many hp pluses i needed. 4x slash for everyone. dblow. manipulate. enemyskill. cure. demi. bahumut zero's and aload of other summons. which is the reason emerald always killed me. cause air tam storm. i ended up needing final attack materia just to beat it

  • No there are only 4 weapons... if i can remember...

    Diamond weapon...

    Ultimate weapon...

    Ruby weapon...

    Emerald weapon...

    Right?

  • yes i know i put th wrong number in. that is correct yes there r only 4. and btw. its ultima. not ultimate

  • i remember it was ultimate...

because when i battle him on the ground he was named ultimate

    even in air...

  • u r incorrect. it ultima

  • yea i thought it was ultima...

when i saw it when i played the second time...

    it was ultimate....

    weird?

  • no it says ultima.

  • You aren't couting with the WEAPON that attacked Junon aftter freeing Tifa in the most contrived of ways. The game doesn't give it a name, but Squeenix has named it Sapphire WEAPON. it is the one the Junon Cannon blew the head off.

  • i cant find this game

  • Truthfully Ebay or Amazon is your best bet. Or any game stores that are not Gamestop. Or flea markets. It's extremely rare, and even though the want is there, Square has not ported it recently, besides a PC port, but even that is hard to fine.

  • I agree. You're not too likely to find this old of a game in used game bins in Gamestop, and other related stores. Ebay gives you around 1000 times the choice, giving you pretty much everything possible, even very rare games. I'm needing memory cards myself so I can play FF8.

  • They produced quite a few copies with their `Greatest Hits` line. Many game-shopd have a copy in stock. I think the key is calling first so time isnt wasted. I have seen it often even in the last year at some game shops.

  • hey, thanks for the tips, I've got lots of grinding to do...

  • This has some great music!
