THEY wanted to "update" the theme but the fans revolted.

The JQ theme was as much a part of the show as Haji .

They lost me at the opening and never got me back.

I hated the original JQ series, but this finally got me hooked.

I loved the notion of virtual reality and this cartoon had it nailed. 1999 was still an early year for the internet and "cyberspace" was mysterious and intriguing.

Cartoons I used to watch as a kid made me feel like a grown up, in that they had deep storylines, great animation and didn't talk down to me--Jonny Quest; Gargoyles; Batman the animated series; X-Men, etc. When I watch the stuff my nine year old nephew now watches I feel offended for him.

I remebered this theme all this time. I remeber watching this when I was like 4 or 5...

Just like how I remebered the opening theme to Sailor Moon and the ending theme to Hamtaro. I'm like the only one who remebers stuff like that, out of all my friends I'm the only one who remebers Carmen Sandiego. Archie, Funky cops and other shows. Makes me feel older than what I'm actually am.
