  • Now I see why his legs looked like they did...nice full reps in the Leg Press and Hack. Not like 90% of the videos on youtube where they "REP?" massive weights, but their range of motion is 6 inches

  • @Raptorel Fairly certain if you workout as intense as Dorian did back in the day you'd be spewing all over the place. He has stated multiple times why free squatting wasn't in his routine.

  • @shadowknight132 I usually get that feeling when I go back to training after longer breaks. And I've done 5x5 and 4x10 squats and they do the job, especially if you do front squats after.

  • @HaNdsoFBLoodCss they do look like they work the same muscle but one focuses more on the lower part of the quads and the other on the upper portion. It's safer to do your squats last as your muscles are pre-exhausted, therefore, you don't need as much weight to reach failure, hence less injuries.

    also if you're gonna do the first exercise, leg extensions, then point your toes out to focus on the tear-drop shaped muscle above your knees on the inside of the legs. hope this helps

  • @dannyJmac1980 no, barbell squats hit more muscle groups than hack squat due to balancing the bar. As I'm sure you will know, thats why barbell squats good at building mass. Yates already has the mass though so he doesnt have to wory about that too much. Hack squats are good to do every now and then in order to keep your training varied. Well, that was probably way more information than you wanted, but yeh, barbell squats work more muscle groups than hack squats :)

  • @dannyJmac1980 with the hack squat, you can use more weight because of the extra stability offered from the design of the machine meaning you can build more mass, but chrisw868 is right in the sense that barbell works more muscle groups due to you needing to stabilise the bar, barbell squats are better for athletes such as boxers, were as for bodybuilding, if you want mass i would go for the hack more often than not. hope this helps.
