You dont have to let them come in before you get them removed, mine werent quite in and i got them out just so they wouldnt cause problems. Day three now and im tired of not eating real food! Stupid pudding and yogurt!
@FallenVampireTenshi Not all peoples have to be removed. Usually they have to be removed because they cause pressure on the other teeth that you NEED and can make them crooked (because theres not enough room in your mouth usually). That's why mine had to be removed. Sometimes you cant clean them as well when you brush too so they can start to decay and then than can also affect your gums/other teeth too.

Im 13 so I dont have wisdom teeth yet, but I wonder. Does it hurt when they come in? Like, Ive had five teeth pulled, four at the same time, because my baby teeth wouldnt fall out and my adult teeth would come through my gums so Im not scared about getting them pulled. @Japanlover32 It doesn't HURT when they come in but it's not very comfortable. It feels like you're teething all over again. Usually putting pressure on those teeth when they're coming in makes it feel better (that's why babies bite down on teeth rings when their teeth are coming in)

@musicisawesomeness yeah it really isn't that bad it's now been like 2 days scens mine were out and you will bleed for a while i didn't bleed long after words and your mouth will be frozen for a coupple of hours after the surgury and then a day later your cheeks will get reall really puffy right now for me only one side of my cheeks is puffy it looks like i swallod a base ball and got stuck on that one side and drink lots of liquids like Soup and water not hard stuff. hope that helps!

@TheDoomPanda You have to go to the dentist and get an x ray. They pulled mine out today and they hadn't come to the surface either. But my bottom ones like Joey's are horizontal so they never would have come out anyway. That's why you need an x ray. Good luck :)
When I was younger I had nightmares about the dentist and have wisdom teeth pulled and whenever I think of it now, I imagine and almost feel a huge chunk of my gums missing at the back and its a horrible feeling...I have a good but horrible imagination!

You pretty much said everything that is important to know, so all I can say is take care of your self and take what is needed to help the healing possess go faster. Had one impacted wisdom tooth which is a tooth thats leaning on another tooth in an angle they couldnt just pull it out they had to cut the tooth in half. Took like an hour to get it out because it was wedged in my jaw was looking like Kanye west in about 4 hours.
try three days when the dentist bursts a vein with the novacaine needle for your cavity fillings, now that's living hell. no joke, i ended up bleeding out into my cheek and had a bruise on my jaw for a few days.

Yesterday was my extraction.& let me just say, I was in alot of pain,why? Cuz I was toostubborn to take my meds and I had this excrutiating pain of throbbing back and forth on my right side towards my ear. My god, I could not brush my teeth-let alone rinse. This has been by far the worst taste in my mouth. It's a good thing my teeth weren't impacted nor showing, but still my god- It's barely the second day and I wish I had chocolate pudding<3

When I got mine pulled I had it took me two weeks to heel. D8 IT WAS REALLY PAINFUL! DX They were all dry root canals. I really didn't want to get them pulled, but I had no choice...My parents made me. >_>+ And I didn't spit, or drool. I bet over the sink and opened my mouth, so it splashed out, it didn't taste good, and it kinda hurt. @Soaring11Angel wisdom teeth aren't people-friendly thats why...They hurt when they grow and can grow in any direction they want to, even downwards into your jaw bone, they can grow and push against your other teeth. and some people have room for them such as I do. But, the people who have room for them usually end up with them getting infected and rotten years down the line because they're very hard to brush. Mine just grew in, the tops are fine but the bottom hurts im getting them removed ASAP

I know what you mean by having to only eat liquid food, luckily not from a personal experience. My sister had jaw surgery and she had to go through the same thing ,but for six weeks. Actually she is on her final week right now...She keeps glaring at me when I make cheeseburgers.
my wisdom teeth were growing into the inside of my jaw so the had to cut opend the flesh and then drilled open my bone and smasch the tooth in little pieces
that was the reason i couldn't get them out all at once, so i had to go through the same procedure again
and knowing what is going to happen made the thing a lot worse :)

I went though this and so did my older brother. You pretty much said everything that is important to know, so all I can say is take care of your self and take what is needed to help the healing possess go faster. Oh, and when you go to get your teeth pulled and the dentist gives you something to numb the pain try to say hippopotamus. Had one impacted wisdom tooth which is a tooth thats leaning on another tooth in an angle they couldnt just pull it out they had to cut the tooth in half. Took like an hour to get it out because it was wedged in my jaw was looking like Kanye west in about 4 hours.

try three days when the dentist bursts a vein with the novacaine needle for your cavity fillings, now that's living hell. no joke, i ended up bleeding out into my cheek and had a bruise on my jaw for a few days.

Yesterday was my extraction.& let me just say, I was in alot of pain,why? Cuz I was toostubborn to take my meds and I had this excrutiating pain of throbbing back and forth on my right side towards my ear. My god, I could not brush my teeth-let alone rinse. This has been by far the worst taste in my mouth. It's a good thing my teeth weren't impacted nor showing, but still my god- It's barely the second day and I wish I had chocolate pudding<3

When I got mine pulled I had it took me two weeks to heel. D8 IT WAS REALLY PAINFUL! DX They were all dry root canals. I really didn't want to get them pulled, but I had no choice...My parents made me. >_>+ And I didn't spit, or drool. I bet over the sink and opened my mouth, so it splashed out, it didn't taste good, and it kinda hurt. But the fun part was that though out the entire two weeks, my parents bought me milkshakes...*w* I had to use a spoon, which I hate doing, but it ICE CREAM! YAY!

@Soaring11Angel wisdom teeth aren't people-friendly thats why...They hurt when they grow and can grow in any direction they want to, even downwards into your jaw bone, they can grow and push against your other teeth. and some people have room for them such as I do. But, the people who have room for them usually end up with them getting infected and rotten years down the line because they're very hard to brush. Mine just grew in, the tops are fine but the bottom hurts im getting them removed ASAP

my wisdom teeth were growing into the inside of my jaw so the had to cut opend the flesh and then drilled open my bone and smasch the tooth in little pieces
that was the reason i couldn't get them out all at once, so i had to go through the same procedure again
and knowing what is going to happen made the thing a lot worse :)
