I am very good friends with ricky and i was in the pits with him that night. when he came in from hotlaps there was pwr steering fluid on his shoes so there was a problem with the steering gear. haha then we had to load the car into the back of kerry madsens street truck by hand in the rain..was a long night..glad he ok tho!
@43labontepetty So you're saying the chassis should have remained completely rigid and not bent at all in this crash, therefore transmitting all the force of the impact directly to the driver?!?
@1st6then9 them compounds aren't fun let me tell you. and wrecking like that isn't fun. i've had a serious compound before and its a bitch. especially when all they give you is an asprin before they fix it. and i have a car and i've wrecked it before. never as bad but its not fun to wreck either way.

My cousins grandpa owns that car... Ricky suffered 3 compound fractures to his right leg... he is all healed up now and ready to race in 2009!!

@KevinCali24 they think a nozzle fitting on the power steering pump came loose and he couldnt turn the car...
