  • this song is such a great way to end a day

  • In this track they remind me of Bush. The band Bush fronted by Gavin Rossdale that is. Actually, very much like Bush. I previously thought all of the music from Isis sounded like Tool but thats not true. I even picked up a bit of what must have been a Creed influence in another track.

  • @2843pedro Creed is a pathetic sand grain compared the expansive universal sound of Isis

  • I hope those three people's lives take an altered course for the worst. No reason to hate this!

  • i love what music like this does to my brain

  • There was a video with this set to 'the blue planet', but the copyright morons trashed it.

  • Very post-rock. I approve.

  • im so sad that they broke up!

i never got to see them live :(

  • @Metaalhoofdje123 did they break up? i thought they just stopped. i would have liked to see them live as well. its a bit of a shame but look at all of this beautiful music we are left with!

  • @Metaalhoofdje123 Isis is writing a new album, don't kill yourself yet lol. there's still hope!

  • Kinda funny, most of Isis's videos seem to have only a few comments but throw in Justin Chancellor and.....

  • I've been a musician for over 18 years, and I've seen complex / technical bands come and go from all around the world. But at the end of the day, the simple, yet uncannily tasteful harmonies produced by this band remain some of the most emotionally crushing melody I've ever heard. These guys are in the same playlist I keep Rachmaninov in.

  • how can you tell where justin comes in? or is he all over this song when the bass comes in?

  • @xBillyTheKidx

at 4:11 Jeff stops playing quiet notes at the beginning of each bar and begins playing a section with a delay effect. At 4:39 you can notice a second bass track very quietly begin and get louder. This is the lower bass track that's very noticeable while Jeff still plays the delayed, higher pitch part. Justin C. is also making those loud squeaks on his strings.

  • After all these years that i've been listening to this band,i still find it difficullt to describe or conceive the magnificence of this song.and it's not even my isis favourite.rip great music...

  • isis is my girlfriend, love this album.

  • @frenchicelandicpomel lol nice

  • Words are ment to describe things that have functions to humans. Just because you call it metal, hardcore, post-____, or whatever you may call it, it is called that but it isn't it's true form. So anyways comment all you want, but know if your an Isis fan you came here for the music, not to chat, but nothing wrong with a little expression of how awesome Isis is.

  • it's too bad they just broke up

  • @laxness12

:( Really? I only got to see them once and it was a short little daytime set at a festival. Shame really; although TBH, they had reached their peak. Didn't think much of In the Absense of Truth.

  • This is probably the weakest link on the album. Not because it's a bad song - I quite like it, but it simply doesn't excite my senses as much of the rest of the album.

  • Isis does not get the recognition they deserve!!

  • ISIS is the name of this genre.

  • its sounds like psycedlic-acid rock/metal/expermental/BADASS to me!!

  • damn, what a song! maybe my favorite from isis

  • Yep,Justin Chancellor of Tool plays some bass here on this song, although i don't know if it's whole song or part, btw beautiful music from great band..

  • Isis' music and this song in particular are the only things to make me feel truly alone.

  • My alltime favourite ISIS song.

    Lennart

  • This is my favorite ISIS song.

  • Justin Chancellor contributed in this song playing bass guitar!!!

  • isis are kings of post-fuckface brilliant music. put your mental constructs and conceptual filters aside gentlemen and just listen to the fucking MUSIC!!!

  • fucking great!!!!!

  • Uwielbiam... ciaryyy:):) hmmm

  • Post-rock...everyone who said something different is wrong. I'm just not sure if it's written with a hyphen... :)

  • post-metal... asshole

  • Ok, I'll accept post-metal... asshole

  • And to be honest it is more like Post-Hardcore

    hell who cares...fucking categorical thinking

  • actually, the genre they first took as theirs was 'sludge metal'. But I think it's just postrock with metal and hardcore.

  • why not call it badass?

  • What a song .. GREAT song

  • Lots people here seems to has lost entire song by fighting about what sort of musicstyle name they should use for it.

  • Genres don't matter! All that matters is this is an awesome song!

  • yea thats exactly what i thought first time hearing this. the only psychodelic band in existence

  • NO, THIS ROCK, FINE ROCK, THE NEW WAY.psychedelia, hallucinogen, ambient, underwater bliss,aaaaahhhhhhhh...........i'm fi(ni)sh(ed)....

  • This is Sludge Metal ( Southern + Hardocore Punk + Stoner Metal + Doom Metal). Very great song.

  • No. Post-Metal (atmospheric sludge)

  • Very nice, but I don't understand how it's metal ?

  • An example of why ISIS is my favorite band.

  • Isis is great to listen to on long drives

  • Isis is great to listen to period!

  • @oboheoj ...more like long 'trips'!

  • @bosshallucy I see what you did thar.

  • @oboheoj totally agree, night drive on an empty road...

  • <3 i love them *_*

  • Pure beauty.

  • definitely one of my absolute favorite instrumentals

  • one of the most beautifull songs ever created.

  • never ever ever get bored of this song, complete genius

  • Awesome tune from an awesome album.

    Can't wait for Wavering Radiant.

  • i can listen to this song over and over and still find new things about it.masterpiece!

  • Fucking beautiful. Along with th ending part of In Fiction and the main riff from So Did we the best thing Isis has ever done.

  • Couldn't agree more

  • perfect song, i fucking love it

  • i could roll in spirals listening to this...

  • Creeps on my back:)

  • absolutely love this song.

  • ...e' perfetta. perfetta..

  • concordo

    pienamente

  • posso immaginarlo. :)

noi siamo in 11000 abitanti, ma siamo vicini a milano eheh..

tra poco esce quello nuovo dei mastodon, si puo' gia' ordinare! sembra anche bello, dagli assaggi che ho potuto sentire!

  • I doesn't understand a word of what you said but hi !!!

  • hahah, they were talking about travelling by car to reach their own girlfriends while panopticon plays :D

and they said tool, apc and isis are the best bands in the world..mastodon and meshuggah too.

and other things about the town where they live ^^

    bye!
