For example, if you take the game disc out of the system as soon as you start a new game, and put in any old music CD, instead of playing the level song, it'll play whichever track 1 is on the music CD you put in.

Thats actually pretty easy to do. You download the JAP rom, put your cd in the computer, and replace the music file of the boss with the Jap one. Thats what I did.
