She puts me in the mind of a hippie Macy Gray. The voice and wild hair coupled with the refreshing and at the same time raw in-your-face candidness. Music has been so dead and depressing lately that I refused to turn it on. Imani makes me want to turn it on and crank it up! I'm glad "Little Jackie" brought her to the light, before that I had never heard of her.

Can't agree with u more,I had her first cd 10 years ago,she was good then but I didn't like the music that much,but now after checking those new songs from,I'm totally in love with her new sound!! so fresh and ingenious,also her voice has grown better,I really have to think about where to get this wonderful album now.
