so THIS is what $2.49 for an 8oz can pays for. or $3.69 for a 16oz can when I can buy 16oz of ANY other competitive product for less than 8oz of Red Bull.
This air race is great, but when I want an energy drink I honestly don't give two shits about who's flying around the world with a massive expense account that's figured into my per-unit cost as a consumer. Bollocks.
@BigBrit66 ...sponsorship? if you mean that sponsorship accounts for 50% of the cost of my can of caffeine, i can dig it. just like Coca-Cola and the NBA, or Anheiser-Busch and the NFL...we pay extra for advertisers to attempt to entertain us.
If you mean, however, that sponsorship covers 50-70% of the cost of the race, I would have to point out the obvious fact that it's a Red Bull-branded plane flying around in a race clearly sponsored by Red Bull (hence the naming rights).
where do i go to find out when the next airrace is going to be and where???

where do they set up the temporary airport? some empty parking lot?? some other airfield?
aescobar32 3 years ago
If possible, we use airfields/airports. If the airport is too far away, i.e. Monument Valley (2007), a temporary airfield needs to be built.

do they have their own 747's to transport the stuff?
crazygood150 3 years ago
The 747's are chartered. Having own cargo aircraft wouldn't make sense from a financial POV
