  • WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! That is not Clarified Butter!

  • Ghee.. its good to roast raisin and cashew and add it to kheer .. a traditional milk dish .. :) yummy

  • sorry to see someone had to use such terrible language in their comment.

  • sorry to see someone had to use such terrible language.

  • didnt even talk about removing the water

  • sorry to say man you fucked that all up

  • Did you know that shortly after birth, baby calves are taken away from their mothers and denied access to their mother's milk. It is traumatizing to mother and calf alike. Male calves are confined to a small dark pen for up to 8 weeks, devoid of all contact with their own kind afterwhich they are slaughtered. Dairy products are NOT necessary for good health. Do the morally right thing and eliminate diary products, uncluding butter, from your diet.

  • @resedoton but baby calves are so YUMMY!! and protien is good for you

  • @rcloud7 ...milk has no protein. :I

  • @EmoraChan13 Milk HAS proteins. Ever heard of Casein which causes allergies to dairy products and stuff made with these?

  • thanks for all the vids sir. 2 questions. how long can I store clarified butter? I hate to waste anything, so is there anything I could make using the milk solids? Thanks.

  • EHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...., excuzi, for smaller amounts of butter use a double boiler. Using this method more is better. Using this method do not sear the butter, so use low heat.

  • Always wanted to know how to make drawn butter, and now I know. Thanks!

  • Thanks, video was perfect. In the process of making lobster for Mom on Valentine's Day and just wondered if I should go ahead and try to clarify the butter. Will do now.

  • Keith, don't you need to cook out the water out as will?

  • Would coffee filters work?

  • I think so..or paper towels without ink...

  • I didn't realize that paper towels had ink, is it white ink?

  • @Metsada007 White paper towels have no ink. He's talking about paper towels with colorful designs on them. That's the ink.

  • one question. (not that i know anythig) what about the water in the bottom of the pan?

  • Yes this method did not remove all the water. This would probably not store very well outside the fridge . My Ghee from the supermarket will stay outside the fridge forever. In India the older it is the more valuable like wine a few are still around that are a hundred years old.

  • Does it need to be refrigerated or could you put it in a squeeze bottle and store it like olive oil?

  • nooo, first the ghee should be cooled down, and then put into a container (preferably a glass or plastic container) and then you should leave it in a cool place to set. After it's set (it should become firm) you can then put it in the fridge.

    TIP *

Never put it in a squeeze bottle, nor store it like olive oil.

  • thanks for the info :)

  • Good work. It was simple quick and well explained. Thanks

  • Thanks for this! Were you melting the butter over high heat?

  • I thought you weren't suppose to stir it at all!

  • cheers! Looking forward to trying this. Have been buying tins of the stuff and look forward to making my own from organic butter. Thanks again!

  • THANKS FOR THIS! I have a bread recipes cookbook that, like other cookbooks from this publisher, are heavy with English and other European recipes and ingredients. It has breads from around the world and it includes Indian breads and ghee is one of the recipes. It may say what ghee is in the index but hey, I got to see it demonstrated! "ghee", Thanks!
