go to any Kmart or walmart and ask anyone shopping there what the best country on earth is and they'll probably say the USA. meanwhile they may be missing teeth, cause they can't afford a dentist, let alone a doctors visit, have no money in the bank, cupboard full of nothing but junk food ..... best country .... maybe if you're an executive with a military contractor

Children are brainwashed that their lives will be better if they spend years getting qualified, once qualified they spend years doing an inferior job they didn't want just to pay the student loan back. It seems to me that employers want indebted people with degrees more because, subconsciously, they think that those in such depths of debt would be more loyal to their jobs, therefore, better workers.....
So many fields are easily accessible to learn without institutionalized education.
Employers do themselves disservice more than job seekers, because employers are turning away potentially amazing workers.

@91177info The real deviousness behind it all is that college used to be the great honeypot with real rewards. Parents and grandparents all pressured kids to get a degree first and then stop to smell the roses afterwards. Unfortunately, most the roses got picked before our generation had a chance to pursue them.

@danmarino1970 ..Not to mention now that your neighbor works at WalMart, he is probably on the "Dead Peasants" policy where companies take out insurance policies on their employees in the event of their death. So I landscaped, life guarded, washed dishes, catered food, served coffee, mopped floors, you know the minimum wage drill often off the books in cash like an illegal alien.
