  • I have seen that before... Oh I have seen better than that before... Oh yes, Airbus :').

  • GE logo remembers my washer :D

  • This`s a cargo plane,right?Because I can`t see the passenger windows.By the way,it`s elegant!

  • The new GE engines look like they have a fair bit of a kick in them. The acceleration from 0 - looks quick

  • Oh.....wow. The same, exact 747 with a slightly longer body.......

That's the best Boeing could do for an answer to the A 380 ?

LOL, everyone here is making this thing out to be like it's a new discovery or something.

  • @konakaine

Boeing is going for efficiency, not seeing how big we can make the plane.

the new 747-8i is completely different. carbon fiber-reinforced plastic will be part of the 747-8's airframe to reduce weight, and the wing design is different too. do some research first. read a book or something willis!

  • It looks so beautiful, that it looks fake. I know it itsn't though

  • so epic, so unique, and with great beauty

The 747 will originally be the King of the Skies!

  • Ahhhh, sweet music to my ears! The beautiful sound of the 747-8's new engines!

It makes me so happy to hear it.

  • I wondor what there gonna do with the B-52 at paine field

  • GeNx 2B engines are way quieter than CF6

  • something hanging off the rear tail

  • Nice capture (",)

  • It still sounds like the original 747 :)

  • Really? The -400 series sounds much higher pitched to me.. the -8 sounds more like a 777 with GE90 engines to me.

  • the reason why it sounds like a 777 with GE90'S is because it has 4 GEnx 2B engines cos the GEnx is Like a baby GE90, and yeah the new generation 747 is a hole of a lot quieter than the old 400 series cos it's sadly said goodbye to those old GE CF6 engines what's been powering them for the 47 years the 747's existed but welcoming the new GEnx 2B's on brand new 747-8, as you can tell the body on the -8 is slightly different shape to 400 series, & it has the 787's wings and interior, technology.

  • @guitarplayerforu The CF6's are great, but just like previous jet engines.. the JT8D comes to mind (I miss Alaska's MD-80's now that they're gone just for those engines and their shriek) it was time to get replaced by a better engine. From what I've read Boeing maintained the same 747 fuselage, lengthened it, and added composites/new wing/and other stuff.. not the actual shape of the fuselage though. IMO it looks the same in that aspect.

  • @scaremenga i think cos it now features composites, 787's wings and new engines, i think that's what makes it look different to older 747-400's, did u know the interior on the new 747-8i is exactly the same as the new 787 dreamliner? what do u prefer Airbus's or Boeing's or do U like both? i recently flew on a Virgin Atlantic 747-400 to Orlando from Manchester in economy class and I've got to say its the nicest airplane I've travelled on yet, can wait tho to travel on future planes eg 787, A380

  • @guitarplayerforu I don't care what manufacturer. It all boils down to the airline. Sure, the 787's cabin mockups are nice, but do you think any real revenue aircraft will have that configuration? Maybe similar, but not exact. Look at VS's A320's... and then compare them to United's.

  • LUCKY!
