Giant Epo Mustang P51d 1450 (from ready2fly) - Maiden flight

Really good planes, had mine for sometime now with 60 flights on her, stock model with just a cg adjustment made and shes been flying great ever since, certainly no ornament, made for flying!!

If anybody buys one of these Airfield P-51's plan on some major Modifications before any Flight ! Their really made to Sell, NOT Fly properly, my tailwheel desentagrated right in the driveway on Asphalt before ever being Airborne, just broke into pieces and hasn't ever flown yet, plastic wheel. Beware plan on some work to these RTF P-51's before any Flight to make them better, or they'll Crash !

Ich kann von dem Modell nur abraten. Wenn es nur das "nackte" Kit gäbe, und man selbst hochwertige RC Komponenten einbaut, vielleicht, aber das billige China-Material, welches hier verbaut ist, macht keinem Spaß (ich hatte einige Material bedingte Crashes - und auch ein Kollege).

@YTschim ok also ich habe eben vom modellbaugeschäft in der nähe zu hören bekommen dass das ein super modell zum umstieg auf giants ist... aber ich hab mich jetzt doch auch umentschieden zu NEIN!!!

da hast du leider recht, ich hab di yak, , aber auch die..., war scheisse, den motor hat es mir nach dem ersten flug, in den himmel gejagt, der verkäufer meinte, man dürfte nicht vollgas geben..., vollidiot..), jetzt habe ich nen 60 eflite brushless reingepackt und nen 6 s lipo..., und der geht ab wie ein karnickel

The better CG should be:

normally they say in the center of the two black circles (on top of the plane - measure the CG with the plane sitting inverted on your fingertips).

BUT: it seems to be better to move CG 1,5cm (or roughly half an inch) FORWARD of the center of this circles!

You know what: my friend crashed his FMS P51 yesterday because hie elevator-servo died - another weakspot!

I have this plane.Tail wheel is to long, shifts balance to front on landing causing it to nose into the ground. Also plane is tail heavy, so add some wieght to nose and will fly more stable.

your right. I bent the tailwheel and also moved the battery all the way forward to obtain a tolerable cg...

Still she flies not really good and so she sits in my hanger most of the time ;-)

Mit der Fms Mustang scheinen alle ihre Probleme auf Rasen zu haben.

jaja, mein letzter Flug war ja einigermaßen OK, davor nur katastrophen...

mal schaun, wann ich mich wieder damit fliegen traue :-)
