  • you're rather mature for your age.

  • Sesshomaru poster in the background!! 8D

And I agree. While I was reading Evermore, I felt Twilight vibes from it. I didn't bother finishing it. D8

  • everyone thinks that evermore is a twilight wannabe but that's not true! unlike bella, ever can read minds and see people "auras". and it doesn't even revolve around vampires, for god's sake! it just mentions it...

  • I think it's not just authors but publishing companies that are the ones actually buying and publishing these books. They read it thinking "will this sell?" not "is this good quality?" It's only going to get worse because the truth is, publishing houses are losing money--they'll only buy what will sell. It's sad, really. Because all the great books aren't advertised or thrown up on a pedistole.

  • even if it was trying to get twilight fans, the 2 book series are nothing alike... if you think they are, then your crazy

  • NEITHER are original. It's a rip off of a bunch of other books that weren't popular before. Now there's a buncha' fucking vampire fangirls/boys.

  • evermore is not like twilight in any sense at all. no vampires, for one thing. and vampires dont drink (the red stuff). they dont see auras. its original, there's just not enough supernatural things to write about. id like to see all these people saying its a ripoff write a book.

  • @Kiwiberry351 I mean the concepts are the same

  • @MelinaPendulum all concepts of fantasy are the same, so therefore its not a ripoff

  • @Kiwiberry351 The way the romance is in this book and in Twilight are very similar. There is a scene where Ever drops a waterbottle and her love interest grabs it with super speed ala Edward/Bella apple scene. I didnt enjoy this book and didn't find anything creative about it. That's just me. If you like it, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

  • @MelinaPendulum i actually did enjoy it...i just dont get why it has to be a rip off because people think the same

  • @Kiwiberry351 Well, I personally view it as a rip off, because these types of books have been coming out in abundance since Twilight came out following the same formula.

However, if you like it and think it is just a coincidence then it really doesn't matter what I say does it?

  • @MelinaPendulum if you look at other books before twilight, you would find there are books like it too. in fact, me and my friend thought one book copied twilight, but then discovered it came out first. alot of books are the same, so they cant all be a rip off.

and no, it really doesnt :)

  • @Kiwiberry351

No, alot of books will always have things in common, but sometimes there are things that are too similar that kind of make you look twice at it. Like Vampire Diaries/Sookie Stackhouse (True Blood) and Twilight. Twilight is very similar to those two, but the VD books are very different from the SS books.

SM claimed she doesn't read any other vampire books, so she couldn't have ripped it off, but at the same time the similarities make you think twice about the witer.

    :)

  • @MelinaPendulum so theres always similarities, but u insist - in ur oppinion - that it is a ripoff?

  • @Kiwiberry351 I thought so when I first read the summery, but I have since read the book and while I think it used certain aspects of Twilight to appeal to the Twilight cast, Twilight is a better book that Evermore. So if it was trying to rip off Twilight it didn't do a great job imo.

  • @MelinaPendulum i dont think it was trying to rip off twilight, but it does have similarities as you said. and you like twilight better than evermore? because u think it copied, or you just like it better?

  • @Kiwiberry351 I think that Twilight did the story better.

  • @MelinaPendulum i think that implies both the story and the opinionated copying :) as you say THE story instead of ITS story

  • @Kiwiberry351 lol. Its not an original story no matter anyway you spin it lol

  • @MelinaPendulum nothing original anymore sadly :(

  • @Kiwiberry351 Very true :(

  • @MelinaPendulum aha yeahh :(

  • @MelinaPendulum the human mind is such a limited place

  • They should really come up with a new vampire-plot... like 'boy/girl has a vampire-stalker who kills off everyone he/she loves and even if he/she can get rid of the stalker his/her life is completely destroyed'.

I would really like to read something like that.

    Good point about sexuality btw.

  • I don't think i've read somethign like that, but i've seen it. Your talking stolkhome syndrom with the vampire making the girl love him even though he's killed everyone she cares about. And in the end she lives immortal with the guy who killed evry1 and she's been brainwashed. Maybe that's your book, but i don't think i'd read that. But i know lotsa ppl would. Im a sucker for a happy ending.

  • I wouldn't have a lovestory in my book I think. Too clichée.

    And I'm a sucker for non-happy endings^^

  • lol. I can't help but love a good romance and happy ending. but i do find that happy endings are not always needed to end a good book. My sisters keeper for example, or the tenth circle. Romeo and Juliet. But the other two are not love stories. A change of heart was not about love not really, but it does have character death. And deals with a lot of emotions that many people don't think about.

  • I find most stories with a happy ending intensely boring. A movie or book with a tragical ending just leaves a deeper impression. Hunchback of notre dame, the little mermaid, the perfume, pan's labyrinth... and it's refreshing to have no love-story at all like the last two I mentioned.

Not that a lovestory can't be nice as well, but the subject is pretty overdone. Life is about more than just that, and so should books be.

  • True. But not every story has to have a sad ending or tragic ending. Look at all the bobsy twins books and nancy drew, picture of dorian gray, Oliver Twist. They are such good books, but don't have a tragic endng. So i think a book can be good w.o a tragic ending.

  • I didn't say they don't exist I just enjoy the ones who don't end happy more, or those which have a bitter-sweet taste at least.

And lol what's not tragic about Dorian Grey killing himself in the end?

  • ur right. Dorian Gray's ending was tragic.

  • My own, but it was deleted

  • I get what you are saying. I hate now that every book I pick up there's this perfect guy. I mean what happened to characters to like Mr. Darcy? Yes, he was beautiful but he had his flaws. The perfect guy character is just annoying the hell out of me. It's getting to the point where you can't root for anyone because lately everyone is perfect. That's why I love Harry Potter or Spider Man. You have these geeky characters but there so relatable.

  • man, you are so on the money with this one, Melinda

  • i make vidos talking about evermore! i made a video about the comparsion of twilight and evermore. just to change your mind :)

  • "same power same personality" that's the point though. It's whats doing well. Also Alyson Noels other books are really good. I liked them. But all the things u said. that's what sell. It's not just the authors, its the agency's the author likes to write Hey this is a cool topic, that's make a cool book. Recyled ideas, and recycled music. Everything boils down tot he same thing. All romance all murder mystery, don't read don't watch t.v. don't listen to music. It's all recycled. Bascial

  • So theirs alot of similarities in book one, but their are a lot of similarities in True Blood as well, and blue bloods. So i thin we should just enjoy the book for what it is and stop worrying about who's ripping whom off b/c in the end if it was a total rip off it wouldn't have been published in the first place and/or lawsuits would happen.

  • I am really a Twilight fan. I read evermore i liked the first book but what i thought was sad is that The portagonist in evermore thinks shes nothing special, her life is screwed up and all that other negitave stuff, nad in twilight they make bella like im nothing special, and i thought that was sad because they couldn't make one girl really happy and independant until the guy comes in and all that other stuff.

  • there are alot of simmilarities between the 2 series but personally i like the Evermore series better, even though i do still like Twilight.. and i completely agree with your theory about getting the fanbase.. and i think eventually people will get bored with the whole "vampire love story" concept

  • Not a rip-off, but is just cashing in on the paranormal romance trend using the same things that made Twilight attractive

  • true blood, dracula, blue bloods, charmed, twilight, narnia,(magic closet!), vamp academy, vampire diaries, fade out(morganville vamps)vamp diaires was around b4 twilight & the same old girl who has sucky life falls in love with vampire who is hot & ppl have weird feelings about him. Buffy the vampire slayer, angel? it's all recycling the same stuff & making it their own. Everything is based off of bram stokers or whoever created the first vampire/imortal book. Sides E.M is also about alchemy

  • @JudeHarrison0289

um sorry to burst your bubble but the closet in Narnia is a gate made IN narnia that transports people there.

  • I know. I was using it as an example, it deals with magic. A closet? It's as ridiculous as a vampire who has manic depression. But i still like it. Fawns/humans, are not an original idea, that's not a charectar that c.s. lewis created. He created the personalities, and that;s what i'm talking about. Evermore has its similarities, if you look at it more, you find out that Ever, is more gutsy then bella. But the book is still good. May not b exactly original, but the characters aren't the same.

  • But it is like Twilight. The first three, to be exact.

Wait, no... all four of them. Whoops.

  • Evermore only has 3 out so far. Vampire Diaries was written and published in the 90's. Twilight 2003. So vampire diaries came out first.

  • well i didnt watch the video you were talking about but you are right. ever since twilight came there have been a bunch of books about vampires. by the way you talk you sound smart. but the books are pretty good. oh yeah and i like the sesshomaru poster in the background he is so awesome.

  • in my opinion the immortals series is NOTHING like the twilight series. there are hardly any similarities between the twilight series and the immortals series. did you even read the book? how can you say that the immortals series was written to attract the same audiences as twilight. they are totally different; immortals and vampire have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in common. im sorry but woow, really? no. in my opinion you are totally wrong. you are entitled to your opinion thought i guess so whatever.

  • I have read and there are scenes that are nearly exactly like Twilight. For example: The Water Bottle part. Ever drops a water bottle and D catches it before it hits the ground.

Like, I mentioned, it isn't exactly like Twilight, but it has alot of similar concepts.

Plus, just standing on its own, I think it is just a bad book.

  • u-g-h.

  • I completely agree, any person who likes this book is insane. Hell, I thought Twilight would be my most hated book, well this one beat it by a long shot.

  • You pretty much summed it up, Melina.

I read and did a review of this book a few weeks ago, and yeesh, I was not impressed. Poor writing, shallow characters with Mary-Sue names and personalities to boot, and little to no action.

  • alright there are no similarities when i was reading evermore and blue moon they are really good and in my opinion almost better than twilight and just cuz the second book has close to the 2nd book of twilight doesnt mean its the same it is totally different and the new moon book totally sucked

  • to me it not at all like twilight, yeah they both have a guy and a girl but don't all books have a "guy and a girl" the people in evemore are not vamps. Ever and Damen are the same things.

  • Twilight and Evermore have coincidential similarities. Both are good books (My favourite character in Evermore is Miles). Evermore is like the WHOLE Twilight series, but switched around. In Evermore Damen wants to have sex with Ever and Ever says no. But in Eclipse, Bella wants to have sex with Edward and he says no. And other coincidences, like the cool house, car, mind reading, and names. And when Ever kills Drina, like when Edward kills Victoria.

-Read Wurthering Heights. Good book alert!

  • I've read it already ^^

  • ok, first of all, did you even read Evermore?

if you didn't than you have no right to be saying that it was written to attract the same audiences as twilight. if you did read it, you would know that in the beginning of the book, some of the ideas are the same as twilight, but in the middle and end of the book, it ends up totally different and not at all like twilight.

  • I didn't say it was written to attract the same audience...I said it was marketed.

Besides, I have read it and it is still not impressive

  • I agree. the first bit is kind of the same, with the gorgeous male, the plain girl, the mind reading.. But think, what book was out first? Stephenie Meyer didn't Copy Evermore, the Twilight idea came to

her in a dream. BUT LISTEN UP! What freaks me out is that the second book in the Twilight saga is NEW MOON. The second book in the Evermore series is BLUE MOON. NEW Moon and BLUE Moon? Jeez... But I still can't wait to read Blue Moon. It sounds good.

P.s; Read Wurthering Heights. GOOD BOOK!!

  • I totally agree with you on the whole female heroine front. These books are making women out to be damsels in distress and honestly it's ridicules!

  • okayy,,everyone is going to keep comparing Twilight with every teen romance novels that include immortality and action,,There are also tons of other immortal romanace novels that did come before twilight!twilight is just a little more sucessful so stop comparing them and get on with your life,,they are both amazing books!u guys are just mad because maybe there will finally be a beter book than Twilight!

  • I don't like Twilight, but I think you realized that.

  • I don't like Twilight either, or New Moon, but I like Eclipse and Breaking Dawn better. Like, team Jacob; I like men with a pulse, thanks. LMAO.

My favourite book is Wurthering Heights... Cathy is a bitch. xD

  • The good writers won't get noticed because the publishers also want money. And the good writers come up with their own ideas. It's sickening.

I hate this generation of writers. I hate them. All of them.

I have to search the library for hours to find something decent.

  • I agree with you. I love Evermore and twilight. ( I love twilight mroe) but now that you mention it it does kinda make what alyson noel is i dont know trying to do or whatever

  • My friend read Evermore (she likes Twilight [well, what she read of it]). So I decided to read it, and my eyes burned. What bugged me the most was her super, speshul, awesome powers! I mean, choose one and stick with it. And the outlandish names (who names their child Haven? What?)

But this is buisness. A lot of these books are gonig to be published because that's what's popular.

  • my exact same thoughts!! too many super powers, too many cool possessions (super cool house, super cool bedroom, super cool car, ect), too many strange names.

And... (spoilers!) I was like "WTF?" when she killed Drina just like that... :/ too easy for being a lethal immortal, huh?

  • I like the House Of Night Series those are really good books to read.

  • she loves it also. i just hate how everyone is obseesing over twilight, while evermore is better and it should get noticed. and, in evermore i could actually beliveve they were falling in love, unlike twilight(i really couldnt, no joke, it came outta nowhere). i respect your opinion, but this is just what i think.

  • I don't like Twilight lol.

I think that Evermore is marketed to attract the Twilight crowd with the supernatural love angle mixed with mind reading.

I don't like evermore either, but I think it is better than Twilight is some senses.

  • well duh its attracting twilighters, cuz they need to read better books than that crap.

but evermore is awesome!!! i looove it! xD

  • lol.

I think it attracts them for the wrong reasons, but if in the end it makes them read better books, fine.

I just hate the tread of look-alike books that has been coming out

  • yupp amazing comment words my friend evermore pwns twilight ha its ironic cuz my name is twilightluvr but yeah i got over it and made other accounts i just like ussing this one =P

  • i actually do not like twilight. it has too many plot holes, bella is a mary sue, and edward is boring, and smeyer cant write well. i really loved evermore, i just finished it. and you know, smeyer ripped off ideas from jane austen, emily bronte, william shakespeare, and even though she hasnt said it, lj smith (she made a book in the 90s about a vamp falling for a human.) evermore is a bit different. and why cant alyson noel write about two ppl falling in love? people love that stuff, maybe--

  • Umm, i agree with you, but i dont really. I read the book and if yo have read the book Soulmates from the Night world series by Ljane(L.j.) smith. it more steeers towards that story and not twilight, you should read the that book, then read evermore, and you will see what i am talking about. Thank you for you advice cuz i am writing a book, and i do NOT want it to be anything like twilight, thats why i am trying to research vamps, immortals, female heroines, and teens

  • Ahh!! please sont critisize the book UNTIL you actually have read it..I mean at first i was thinking geez this is gonna be like another twilight book..But until you actually start to read it, its nothing like it AT ALL in my opinion its just about imortals and Really its a great book i couldnt keep my eyes off it I Highley reccomend you should read it(:

  • I read some of it and I found it to be very cliche and boring. It isn't exactly like Twilight (still think its similar), but I didn't enjoy it at all.

  • Danngg girl you comment back fast! haha[:Umm but anyhoo Thats just it what part are you at? Because its really a good book once you start getting into it but i cant make a choice for you so i guess up to you(: But i encourage you to keep reading it gets REALLY good all my friends give it a thumbs up. But still nothing can replace the Twilight sereies im still upsest hehe. But evermore comes in a tie with The Uglies series but im still debating on it bc the immortal series isnt yet finished yet:D

  • lol. I am going to finish the book an then give a proper review of it.

I think you should read Wicked Lovely. The Gemma Doyle Trilogy and Holly Black's Tithe, Valiant and Ironside. ^^

  • Okay i'll look it up. Have you heard of "Kissed by an Angel"? my friend says its a really good book..but i haven't read it yet, I dont really know what its about but i think im gonna read since how i just finshed evermore and have nothing to do. But i was just seeing if you knew about it?(:

  • No, I haven't heard about it sorry.

  • That okay[: i just looked up Wicked Lovely looks likke a good book!

  • Its a great good. It don't do the usual paranormal romance stuff you'll enjoy it.

I would also suggest Blood and Chocolate

  • the author of the book did say that they were inspired by twilight to write this book and the book does have it's own little twists to it. it's not like they exactly copied it

  • I didnt say they did

  • i have one of the stookie stockhouse books, the one with like a mouth and toungue licking the blood off or something? but seriously my account was hacked O_O

  • and those other comments? thanks but my ACOUNT WAS HACKED

  • No they are not all the same. Stookie Stackhouse is different from Vampire Academy which is different from Lestat and so on.

Writer should write something that has meaning, not just something that appeals to teengirls for the sake of making money.

    P.S

I KNOW Evermore doesn't have vamps. lol

  • You know what? it's not anything like Twilight... this book mostely resembles Vampire kisses becuase Damen is the new kid at school while in Vk the new kid Alexander - though a vampire can't go to school meets up with raven as Ever falls for Damen- i mean, look at it for a moment. C'mon now...there are some tiny similies to twilight and evermore though i think there is a little Vk in it to.

  • Comment removed

  • You are probably right. I have not read the book yet, again this is just my idea from what i have read about the book so far

  • The powers and the whole paranormal love thing is similar but the base or majority or wuteva is acutally a good read.

  • you are very right when you say that it is not original.

The relation ship between Ever and Damen is oh so familiar and I as a Twilight fan have found it to be quite amusing seen as it was familiar but, I do believe that if it had been ODing on the familiarities then i wouldnt have read it. But it is also a book that i would recommend, truly when it comes down to it. it is really different from Twilight.

  • You are a smart chick. I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm a writer myself (my agent is sending my books to editors at the moment) and it's nice to see that someone else feels the way I do about YA lit--particularly paranormal/urban fantasy.

I read a comment where you said you are a writer also. Do you have a blog or author website? I'd love to add you to my links. :-)

  • I don't have any work up unfortunately. It's all in production. lol

Good luck with you work. I checked out your sight and it looks really cool.

  • Have you read Evermore? I dislike it when someone critizes a book that they haven't read. I know authors that have finished books that are coming out in 2012. So, it is perfectly possible that is the case. YA is full of orignality. For example, read Wake by Lisa Mcmann, if you haven't. Also, Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Check out, Laurie Halse Anderson and Courtney Summers. A ton of books have simlarities, that doesn't make it a copy.Mind reading is a really interesting power and it help with

  • character delveopment. So it is commonly used. A lot of authors try to share their fanbase. As a book reviewer, I know the trends of the coming year. For example, there are 5 books with car accidents and it is a major part of the plot. Yet, I have been lucky to read them early and they are amazing. Dystopias are also popular after The Hunger Games sucess. Just because they have simular ideals, doesn't mean that it sucks. It is like in movies, you sometimes have to borrow from the classics.

  • I love orginallity, but I understand why you might be mad. There are tons of orignal books.

  • I just hate reading the same sort of book over and over.

Mind reading is a great power, but when you keep having books where that is the main power it gets pretty annoying.

I'm sure there are some original gems in YA, but I'm not finding them. I see what is selling at its all the same stuff.

    Wake was great btw.

  • the only way theyre similar is ever's powers...ooh! scary..im writing the book and she can read minds and stuff. sue me!

  • missed the point

  • i know the point is the originality. i was talking about how you said that the powers of Ever were like edward much, jasper much, aro much. not the fact of originality.

  • I compared it to Edward and Aro, yes, because mind reading abilities tend to be a trend right now.

  • I loved Evermore. It did have some similarities to Twilight but aside from the protective male and romance there was not much else. You shouldn't compare books.

The point of Ever staying a virgin is that she always dies a virgin. Damon wants to change that this time.

  • Why shouldn't I compare books.

Also, I am not saying you can't love Evermore.

That is not the point of the video.

Its about the lack of originality in YA books.

  • I think everyone has their own opinions on books...i mean no one can beat twilight to some people and others think this book is so much better ok? its all in the style people like...u have a cool way of wording stuff so i give u props on that and for all the people making stupid comments insulting her...it doesnt make u look good at all ok?

  • If you actually read the book you would realize that twilight and evermore are total opposites....like seriously read the book.

  • They are similar. Not TOTALLY similar, but they share some common factors. I'm saying that they are exactly the same...

  • ur dumb dude!! evermore is better than twilight so stop saying dat its kinda like twilight!! .. i love evermore!!!

  • It probably is better than Twilight, but they are both still similar.

  • Evermore is a great book. And its only a little bit like twilight.

  • She does play a little bit of the damsel in distress after being caught up in the exhausting dreams but for the most part Cabel, her BF, is more nervous obout sex with her than she is and it is a compelling book that you should definately look into reading.

  • I was watching your video and the entire time I was thinking of two of my favorite books. And yes it does include the whole thing about powers but it is actually a very original one at the least. Well first off the books are Wake and the sequal Fade and it is about a girl, Janey, and she gets sucked into peoples dreams when they are dreaming in the same room as her.

  • personally i think that evermore was better than twilight and i disagree with you. they are not using that and they did not copy twilight. Copy writing is a very serious thing and you shouldn't use it that likely. Nevermore i thought was every real. And have you ever thought that maybe Stephenie Meyer didn't make up everything because has to get her ideas somewhere. and nevermore was not about sexuality. not at all. it about true love. and you got off topic sooo many times.

  • missed the point and yes, I know I get off topic.

  • I understand how you would think that, yes, the immortal/romance is popular, but after reading the book, it's very original. I thought the same thing when i read the back. This is just a topic teens are interested in. If Twilight wasn't so popular, you could say the same thing compared to another immortal series. I do agree with you about how females are powerless, though. I suggest you read the book not to prove you wrong or anything, just suggesting.

  • Mind reading is not the only power he & other immortals have. He can manipulate objects. He can make anything appear out of thin air. He can travel to another dimension (Summerland). Chakra & alchemy were also mentioned & I think the author will talk more about that in the other books. There's a bunch of other stuff the immortals can do & mind reading is NOT the main one. If you read the synopsis for the second book, it doesn't sound like Twilight at all.

  • Sure, there are similarities between Evermore & Twilight (imo, there are more differences), but I don't believe the author did it on purpose & I don't believe she's trying to get Twilight's fanbase. (Last I heard, she's only read up to the second book.) The author has said that she wrote the book because she likes the paranormal genre & she wasn't done writing about what it is like to lose loved ones.

  • Bascially, I think the title you gave the other video was a bit unfair and that's probably what led others to overreact. I know you've said that you aren't claiming that it is a rip off, but honestly..that's what it sounded like in the video & it's just reinforced by the title you gave the video. Anyway, I do believe you got your point across better in this video than you did in that other video. And I'm sorry people were rude; you do seem like a nice person.

  • Twilight was published in 2005 and Ever more in 2009. Thetwilight crze didn't really pick up till late 07 or ealry 08 and it takes at east a year if not several to publish a book. For all we know, Ms. Noel could have written her book at the same time as ms. meyer. I am in no way tring to offend you though....this is just my reaction. Sorry felt I had to leave a comment. :)

Sorry my post was too long for one comment.

  • Well actually Twilight was written and published within six months and then Smeyer wrote the rest of the 3 books in what 4 years? So it doesn't take THAT long depending on what kind of quality you want your books to have.

I do however, understand and respect your point ^^

  • Yes.. I understand that but I believe Evermore had a harder start that took a while to find a good lit agent and publisher that would accept the work and be wiling to edit it. And yes...the more time spent the more likely the quality of the work wll be higher in most cases. and thanks! :) I, myself, (lo awkward sentence) am an aspiring author and have been trying to get out and edit my work for quite some time. it is a difficult process but will hopefully be worth while one day! =)

  • Well Noel has written other work, so she most likely already had those things. ^^

I am an aspiring author as well

  • I understand where you came from on the plot and similarites to twilight with evermore. I agree with you that it is similar...yes....actually i read it becaus ei thought the back sounded humerously close to twilight but i actually loved it. I have to say that Alyson Noel is very talnted and her series is unique. i mean I love to write and see some of the trends in the 2 books....but i don't think the twilight series inspired Ms. Noel.

  • Sarah Dessen's books don't have the perfect girl or perfect guy thing. You should check out her books

  • at school. Sure theres vampires in it but its not lighthearted at all. It is very gory but at least it has elements of real life in it. Kids getting bullied, a pale, overly skinny, gaunt and not very pretty vampire. Sure its fantasy but at least its real.

  • I know what youre saying with the whole originality thing [I have read the whole series but now I hate it because of the money cow its become], there are alot vampire romance novels out there that are pretty much a rip of Twilight [even the same covers and font]. But there are much better vampire books out there. Let the Right One In is very dark [as vampire books should be] and it focuses more on the friendship rather than sappy love story. The main chacter is physically and mentally abused..

  • i understand what you're trying to say. I bought Evermore, because i like Alyson Noels books. However; When i started to read the book, i realized that Damen and Edward were very similar, and it did to an extent annoy me. Their traits were just alike, and that did ruin it for me on some levels. So, i do understand what you're saying.

  • At least most my characters have major physical flaws, becasue I based them off real people. Even the beautiful people have their flaws in my story. I tried to not make them all perfect and cliche ... But I guess I'll have to see when the time comes....

    Wonderful video dear. <3

  • I agree with you, all the books now a days are based on something else.

(one of the videos you made i was whining for you to read Vampire Kisses Sry about that ^^;)

  • I can agree with how you feel about the beautiful, unrealistic characters that fill the page of the most popular books. You strive for a more realistic persona, one that you can actually grasp and enjoy. I try to create characters that have better depth than their looks, I enjoy creating their backstory more than apperance. I can say the character in my current novel is mildly attractive but it is her backstory that paints a better picture of her. ^.^

  • again your missing the point, but thanks for the one star ^^

  • i understand what your saying now!

lol..and i do agree with you!

youre right everyone is not perfect and these stories are becoming unrealistic.

most books do have the same story line. i mean she did attract fans by using some ideas from twilight. and also twilight isnt the first to be original with its vampire story.

overall i do agree with you!

  • Well Twilight isn't really original. I can list books/tv shows with the same stuff that came it before it.

    But thank you ^^

  • I can agree on what your saying. I can see the cliches in alot of Young Adult novels sometimes I don't want to even be in that section. Some are great and some don't do the author justice one bit. Good books are rare like saphires.

You'd write a great novel, I'm sure of it. I'll write one too, you can count on that.

(I wore braces too, when I was younger. I still have my buckness) :D but screw looks. Brains are the shit.
