WHAT A WONDER WAY TO REMEMBER THE NELSONS: DAVID "SWEET CLOGGING, HIGH KICKING" NELSON AND RICKY "ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS BY HIM" NELSON. OH BROTHERS, UNITE IN THE KINGDOM.
OMG! I forgot about this TV appearance. It was great to see it again!!! I remember it, because of Mike's comment about his twin girls. I thought they were lucky girls!!!
In his memoir "Chronicles" Bob Dylan cites Ricky Nelson as an early influence and expresses great admiration for his clean singing style. Until I saw this clip I never knew that Ricky performed any of Dylan's material until much later (She Don't Look Back). I guess they dug each other.
Yes, because so many of these have been posted from a documentary that I put together from my collection. I stripped off all the old lip-sychned vocals and overdubbed them with the vocals from cd's.
Yes, this and many others like "Life" from Fol de Rol I made into a documentary. Who ever posted them would be nice if they gave some credit for all the hard work and money that I put into doing this.
It's from the one I made for my own personal useage and gave to friends. Obviously that friend has posted them. I overdubbed all the old lip-synched versions with vocals from cds for better sound. Enjoy them! I named the documentary Rick Nelson "A Musicians Journey." Taken from 1966-81 performances.
This is wonderful, thanks for posting this!

So many videos that seem to come from a documentary. What is it? This is great stuff. Love his music!

Great video. Rick could handle all styles of singing although his heart was in rock and roll. What documentary is this taken from?
