But Kremlin didn't saw a use in it for long term since now countries all over the world seek a trend of Georgian wine import especially after best reputation in the past years and months.Plus, Russia authorities quickly missed Georgian wine and got soften on that issue .... Trades between partner countries lifted, no resources, minerals, textiles in exchange for money and investment boost anymore. Georgia lives with those factors today. Banking, investments, tourism, export and oil from the Kaspian sea.

@wildbestia But totally aside of all that. Turkish Diaspora is allmost completly ethnically Georgian or "Laz".+ Prime Minister Erdogan and have excellent relations to the Georgian intiligencia. If there was no Georgian connections, there would't be a single arms trade .... and I also think that Armenia would be in a much worse crisis if it was different.

I know you are pissed at these bases because Russians used them to bomb you. But the answer is simple. These bases guarantee that Turkey will not attack Armenia. Turks tried. They brought armies to Nakhichevan. It's against Turkey.
So we were part of Persian Empire, became part of Russian Empire. Obviously Russians weren't doing that to give us independence. But we were better with Russians than with Persians. Nobody would give us indepdence.

They will. All the countries do that. The weapons they sell to outside is always low quality. Compare T72 export and internal - big, big difference. This is what it is. Unless you can produce your own tank, anything else you buy will be crap and you can't use it against the country who sold it to you, because they will know all the characteristics and weaknesses.

@wildbestia Well, we saw that in Chechnya. 20-22.000 dead and hundreds of armor destroyed ( According to Soldiers Mothers community ) of which hundreds were of Russia's finest men ( VDV, Interior Ministry, GRU, MVD, ALPHA, VITYAZ ). The thing is, that they used heavy weaponry allready at the beginning untill there were not much Chechens left, besided the civilian population which got only allmost erradicated. Kremlin didn't even blink with an eye about those losses.

Some estimate that there are 1 million Armenians living in Turkey today who were "turkified". It's almost impossible to establish now - they believe they are Turks. Same with Iran. If you take a Georgian or Armenian child and raise him as Persian - he will be Persian. It's easy to anihilate a nation like that. See what I'm saying?

Many Georgians and I know also Armenians who grew up in service of Persia or other muslim nations, allways aspired to go back to their homelands since they at least heard of them and that was enough. So Russia has weakness too. America is in economic trouble, with 2 wars, Americans don't want Russians supplying some RPGs to Taliban and Iraqis. So they all depend on each other. That's why they will always negotiate. It's small nations who suffer.

Armenia achieved a decicive victory and Azerbaijan is out for revenge since then. Russia made Georgia fell into war, 4 times in 20 years. Now Russia armed Armenia to the teeth, Azerbaijan to the teeth and has good-friends relationship to Turkey, while seeing Georgia as No1 enemy. Think about this all and maybe you will see it from a different ankle then.
