@neilorourke71 really think so? think about the the price of the amps it emulates. it's already cheaper, right? then imagine all the other stuff it does! for what you get, you're not really paying that much, don't you think?
@bragesoderholm yeah, I suppose. I geuss I'm just saying it's a steep price for me, because I don't have that kind of money to throw around haha. If I did though, this would be the first thing on my list
RIght let me guess ..another flippin' AXE demo used as a flippin' rock & roll, blues overdriven sound ...anymore creatives around this world who can expand the potential of this AXE gear????
what you guys are doing can be achieved with any flippin' overdrive, a basic amp and some imagination with good ears!!!..get someone else to play that thing ..there's already a billion guitarists doing that same old kak!
@darmstrongx92 WOW NICE! "raise the debt ceiling with you're axefx" haha i bet ....all that gear and you're GAS but with no music...just debts...to the ceiling ..I get you wahaha!! funny guy!
Raise it Guitar Ninja Hero!!(in the mirror) raise it !! - ..enjoy :)
Makes a video when you do a tone right from scratch. I really wanna see that. And see how you guys do it because you guys gets out some crazzyy tones out of that thing!
@Periphery Don't get me wrong, it's not a ripoff or anything. I think it just reminds me of it because of the way you slide in and out of a lot of the notes. Plus, I know that you guys are familiar with Guthrie, so I wouldn't have been surprised if you had been inspired by it. Either way, it's a sick riff. Much respect, and I'm excited to see you in Milwaukee.
just listen to your test clip on soundclick, its seems like the axe fx II sounds more organic, it sounds even more like a real amp its insane. It also sounds like the its has a little more harmonic detail in the gain, u here the little undertones better when a chord rings out
ok so im kind of new to the whole axe-fx thing, so when you set this up with a live rig, it replaces your head and all your rack effects and stuff? so for example you could just play with the axe-fx and a cabinet and it would be good? obviously basic but for my budget thats what i want to know
I thought of getting a fractal but instead I got a Mark V custom with an Orange 2x12 ppc and sounds like a charm. Anyways Im here too ask you guys to please come down to Puerto Rico Is an island right next to Cuba jajajaja. Believe me you have a really strong fan base here. Thnks
hey misha, what do you think 7 or 8 string and why? i typically only play in drop c and am looking into a 7 or 8 for jazz, and some proggy metal like periphery, is string number 8 necessary, im tight on money so i pretty much can only choose 1? info me up.
@SocietySalvaged It really bothers me that everyone thinks they are entitled to a personal response, about gear of all things, from the members of the bands they like. I would suggest reading some articles or watching some interviews if you truly do want to know. Misha wrote an instructional column he wrote for guitar world last month, he touches on it there.
There's not really much of a learning curve. Assuming you can play a 6 string, and have big enough hands to reach all the frets of an 8 string, go ahead and get th8 first. I have a 7, but I have short stubby fingers, and an 8 string would really be pushing it for me.
@SocietySalvaged It would be cool for you to go for the 8 right away, start writing or whatever on your massive tool.. But it WOULD be best to experience a 7 first. After you've done that you'll know; do I like this or do I want 8.
Misha and Alex are something else. I'd say Periphery is the most respectable band around in the sense that they play what they want to play, they dress how they want to dress, and they have a good time doing it. Not to mention the little fun things here and there like 'Inertiass" and "I Just Lost My Lunch in My Pants." Bulb is truly a genius. He did everything his way and still got where he wanted to be. There's no amount of respect or support I could give that could show how amazing they are.
@pbmaster123 thanks man, I simply cover myself head to toe in mayonnaise and I run around outside screaming "children", this makes the sweeps and djent riffs flow.
