This is such a great chart of this tune; we played it years ago when I ran the big band at Napier University, I can still play the first trumpet part of that first section from memory! Going to use this video in my jazz arranging class today, thanks for posting.
@mtaylor50 This reminds me very much of the arrangements from the early Humber College Albums. I love the harmonies. Have you heard any of those records?
What a great trombone section sound. Where do they get all that air? I play bass bone, and I'm 300 pounds, and sometimes I can't get enough air in my body to fill a chord.
I love this chart-especially the opening. It had some nice "Dukish" elements to it also. Strong trombone soloist-from "Just friends" band? Interesting stage setting-perhaps a multi band event?
Where’s the piano intro? :/

They are public high school students.
Moreover, they are the high schools in a local city in Japan named Kobe.
The high school in Japan learns for three years.
The age is done from 15 to 18 years old.

Personally i dislike the intro. And the rest of the song has no accents or articulation.

Thanks your comment.
I wonder what's "Dukish". Is it meaning that feeling like as Duke Ellington?
Yes, The band played "Just friends" seven months later of this performance.
