  • Best closeup magician of all time. Almost all people in magic do something that was created by Don Alan.

  • Very nice

  • Best performed bit of magic ever.

  • So amazing. What it's all about but so few get it.

  • Far away the best cup and ball routine. Master.

  • Simply one of the BEST

  • What a brilliant performance!

  • That's great! I remember seeing this on TV maaany years ago and it keeps surprising for his simple and direct style. Thanks for posting it!

  • He is the greatest! I still can't explain how did this trick. Some I can catch them and such (I had an ex boyfriend who was a magician), but this guy I can't figure out. He IS the greatest!!

  • The king!

  • don alan is my favorite magician of all time.

  • Better then Slydini, or Goshman?

  • brings a tear to this old magicians eye. FYI: Don's kids sold his toupe' on ebay!

  • When Don passed, he had been in nursing homes for three years. His three son's paid ALL the bills, because, as many entertainers of his era, he died without a penny to his name. (Most every single item that bear his name pays NO royalties, save the wonderful book, "In A Class By Himself" by Jon Racherbaumer, and the "Don Alan Standard Close Up Pad!")

  • To raise money to buy the lovely stone that now sits in the Colon, MI cemetery, his family decided to sell everything they could part with of Don's on eBay in 1999-2000, so that Don would get a burial befitting his reputation, not his bank account. The headstone is there for all to enjoy and remember his talent and humor. The family still owns all of Don's original tricks, and their seconds, along with the two medicine bag he stored them all in!

  • A-MAZING! This is real classic ROUTINING! I love it. I can watch it over and over. Thank you for posting. If you have any more Don Alan magic, please post it.

  • Seconded......never seen him perform before but Ken Brooke held Don in high regard - so he had to be a good entertainer!

  • Fab!
