I love nicky in a skirt he just sparkles, infact I love this band, my only idols, totally worship them all. I love this tune, my mom was a huge fan of Paul Robeson and I remember as a kid watching his movies & singing 'Ole Man River' as she talked of his cause.
The most underrated Manics song?... maybe. Gotta love the little guitar flourish JDB adds to the end of the instrumental break / vocal sample. Superb tune.
@colonslappy Ha ha good observation! James' inclination to pronounce 't's as 'd's is an occasional Americanism he slips into. For example, he pronounces the 'T' of 'Till 1958'' but pronounces the 'T' of 'liberTy' as a 'd'! :) You'd be hard pressed to find a British rock band that doesn't occasionally slip into Americanisms... after all they invented rock n' roll. James's Welsh vowels more than make up for it!
Ps, If you want to hear him singing hard 'T's, try 'The Holy Bible'! ;)
James Dean Bradfield nient'altro che un meraviglioso angelo...James spero di incontrarti un giorno e stringerti la mano x dirti guardandoti negli occhi sei unico grazie d'esistere....I love you Jamed for ever.........

it pisses me off that he doesn't pronounce his T's...
not one of their best but it's pretty cool.
