  • will it work with the Wii ?

  • @ElectroHauz Nah!

  • Hey man I'm trying to put ISO file of Operation System on my USB and the ISO file haves 4.5 GB size....when I put ISO on USB it haves only few hundred MB on USB drive....Idk why is that so can I try make it my USB bootable and then put ISO file in it....in way you did it now, is it gonna work ???

  • @matkica23ify please see the rmprepusb website for many tutorials. If you want help please give details (like what ISO you are using!)

  • it says the there is no file found when i click the ubcd boot to load from option

  • @seeyditti Check that the spelling of the filename is correct and matches the iso file that you have on your USB drive. Check it in both places. if in doubt when you get to the menu type c and the ls / to list the files. then press ESC and press e to edit the lines that need to change - follow instructions for how to edit the menu. When it works, use Notepad to edit the menu.lst file permanently.

  • will this also work with mac os x lion 10.6

  • mqnf@live.co.za

  • your vidro dont load properly so i can not watch it

  • Hi and Thanks for the vid it really helped me, now for those of you that have been having an error message( like I was) the problem might be in the lst code, if you downloaded the latest beta (511 windows based) the actual code should be as followed:

    title UBCD 5 Beta 511

    find --set-root /ubcd511.iso

    map /ubcd511.iso (hd32)

    map --hook

    root (hd32)

    chainloader (hd32)

Good luck people believe me it was a headache at first but the tutorial works

  • Mine is stopping at "Booting UBCD 5 Beta rc2"

  • @TADHKRob Was there no other message or text displayed? Try RMPrepUSB and click the QEMU button and see if that works. If it gets further then you may have a problem with the BIOS on the target system or possibly USB communication - try a rear USB port perhaps?

  • steve6375,you're a wizard.Thank you very much,your video just saved my life!!!

  • also make sure the is a space between and the (hd32)

  • what got me was the menu.lst.txt. you save it as lst but its still the txt. you have to save it with the option with "all files" then u will get it...

  • @flir67 Just press F4 when in RMPrepUSB to make or edit menu.lst. Make sure you have latest version.

  • is the file called menu.lst or menu.lst.txt ???

When you get to the grub4dos command line type

    ls /

    what files does it list?

  • Hi steve6375, thank for video, but all I get is the 'grub' screen when I try and boot from the usb on an XP machine and cant get passed that?

My copy of UBCD is called "ubcd503" - with no '.ISO' extension in the file name (It works perfectly from CD btw) So in the menu text file I substituted "ubcd503.iso" instead of 'ubcd50rc2.iso' as in your video.

    Any advice pls

  • @MreViewer The filename used in the menu.lst must match the name of the file.

  • @steve6375 thanks, I tried the following to no avail. Have I done something wrong.

    title UBCD 503

    find --set-root /ubcd503

    map /ubcd503 (hd32)

    map --hook

    root (hd32)

    chainloader (hd32)

  • @MreViewer looks fine. Is the file /ubcd503 on the USB drive (top level)? Is it identical to the one you downloaded. What error messages do you get? Did you test your USB drive to check it is good (use RMPrepUSB Quick test).

  • @steve6375 The ubcd503 is top level, the file is as I downloaded it from their website. The drive tested ok using RMPrepUSB Quick test. I'm not getting an error message, I'm getting the grub command line flashing cursor with 3 options: command line, reboot, or halt. I tried the whole process again this time using FAT16 as recommended for 2GB drive but with the same result? Thanks Steve

  • Thanks, this was helpful

  • worked for me, thanks. Is the grub thing a virtual machine? anyways, I was trying to include the Ubuntu ISO and it doesn't work. Any help is appreciated, I am just curious though. Other ISO's worked though. one was parted magic, the older version doesn't work but the newest one worked well.

  • @hkbballboi see RMPrepUSB website for Ubuntu tutorial #46

  • how to i get it to work on my desktop ? like after i booted up ?

  • @ksn3000 Can you explain what you mean? You boot from the flash drive.

You can run an emulator under Windows to try it but often this does not work correctly (but you can at least see the menus and some of it will work. Run RMPrepUSB, select the USB pen, Press F11 key, say 0 for no virtual hard disk, and accept default memory. This will not harm your PC in any way.

  • @steve6375 well your video is how to access it on when you boot up, i saw other videos where you open it with virtual box after you booted.

  • @steve6375 well i mean like right after you booted you have to press one of the f buttons and then go in the ubcd menu. But i saw videos on how to open after booting up using virtualbox. Can you help me with that because i am trying to access the erecovery password.

  • @ksn3000 What recovery password? Do you mean BIOS password, Windows User password, ??? An emulator or virtual machine cannot easily access the host files. You must boot from a boot device which contains UBCD so the system is running UBCD.

  • worked perfect , ty !

  • Failed epically...

  • @chibikawaiichris In what way, can you be more specific? It is difficult to help just from this comment.

  • Hey, trying to find this song that actually is pretty striking =) thanks!

  • @osten222312 danosong.com 'silk' - try also 'King or Alien' :-)

  • @steve6375

    Wowz! Talented guy!

  • is hard

  • but this procedure also works for windows vista home edition? please help meeeeee

  • @bebalinda21lo If you want to install Windows Vista from a USB flash drive, juts follow my video 'How to make a bootable USB pen drive to install Windows 7 onto any netbook, notebook or PC'

  • @steve6375 but I lose the information of the hard disk? I do not want to lose them are 400 gb of information.

  • @bebalinda21lo Please state clearly what you want to do?

  • @bebalinda21lo if u get windows 7 home home basic, make the USB file, go into the USB folder and click on "setup" then click upgrade, but IT HAS TO BE WIN7 HOME BASIC

  • @bebalinda21lo unless ur talking about home premium

  • and a windows XP professional (os), idem office drive

  • Hi steve. I took these informations. Dell Precision T3400

Intel Matrix Storage Manager option ROM v7.6.1.1001 ICH9R wRAID5

    RAID Volume

ID Name LEVEL Strip Size Status Bootable

    0 ARRAY RAID0(stripe) 128kb 465,7gb Normal Yes

  • I'll check it out, but I think it's Raid 0...a1-a2

  • sorry, I don't know - it is your system isn't it?

You can look in the BIOS to see how it is configured (RAID or not) or maybe take off the lid and look for a controller card. If it needs a RAID driver but it is not in linux then you won't be able to access the OS.

  • Where can I check that?

  • Sounds like it cannot see a valid partition, How did you RAID the drives (software or hardware), what RAID controller? What RAID level?

  • Does not seem to be NTFS anyway, trying the FAT variants instead Error NTFS probe returned error code 12 Sorry, cannot continue *cancelled* You can try again if it somehow failed, or you selected wrong New run? [n]: ------------------------------------------------------- That's all... I tried also to cancel the Administrator in other ways (safemode) but noway. • Thank you very much This was great

  • If you want help please state facts:

Are you trying to crack the Windows Administrator password or the BIOS CMOS password (totally different things!).

    What system do you have?

What OS are you trying to boot?

Do you know what the partitions look like and can you see any files?

How did you run ophcrack exactly - if it could not see a partition then why not?

You can reset the Windows password - see my website tutorial #12.

  • @steve6375 Sorry, I've been away for work.

    - I'm trying to crack windows administrator, on a XP professional.

-I have a partitions (2RAID), yes I can see the files (all)

I run ophcrack on the boot. He can see the partitions but he doesn't work on it.

I'll try to make a video, to let You see.

  • @polilollo Try tutorial 12 at rmprepusb . tk

  • @steve6375 Hy, I tried to follow Your instructions... but no way, maybe I need administrator access (like you did "2-10' ". but I can't... but anyway, I have a CD with the version UBCD 5.0.3.. ISO. I see the same menu (at 4-53)

So can you suggest me how to work... to eliminate this f_####_g password on the adminstrator user.

I tried passing in the menu of HDD. bootmanagment etc etc... nothing! please help. THANKS A LOT!

  • @polilollo Sorry, but I need info - saying 'no way' or 'nothing' does not help me know what is wrong. Describing exactly what happens, what error messages you see, etc, would help - I am not a mind reader!

You said before = OPHCRACK (doesn't find the partition). Now you say 'I run ophcrack on the boot. He can see the partitions but he doesn't work on it.' I need accurate and reliable info. What do you mean by doesn't work - do you mean Ophcrack runs and lists all users but finds no pwds?

  • @steve6375 I wrote before, but I don't see the answer.

  • @polilollo I wrote before, but I don't see the answer.

  • CMOS in UBCD didn't work, neither WIPE (or something like that)

I Tried also from HDD-recovery data... no changes

  • HAve You use UBCD503? if yes, can you help me, telling me how to reset the administrator password?

    Thanks a lot!

  • @polilollo Did you visit my website ?

  • @steve6375 No I didn't... I'm going...

but by the way... I have a problem with the password Administrator. I tried with -

OPHCRACK, no way (doesn't find the partition)

SYSSECCD, no way (doesn't find the NTFS)

    ACCESS DENIED ON NTFS

    UBCD503 - no way

  • Best video of them all but I'm probably gonna install windows 7 on my pc with that

  • P.S. see my website for lots more projects!

  • Perfect! The Grub menu (with .Iso files) is the best!!!

    Thanks!!!

  • @pontozani You may find some of the menu items do not work correctly though. If you need these to work properly see my other video for a non-iso method.

  • can you do this with lots of Iso images ?

  • @davedudeit - Many, but not all. see boot-land net Boot Land > Groups > Boot from USB / Boot anywhere > Grub4dos grub4dos, .iso images and (hd32) or (0xFF) mapping

  • well - lets see - how about changing the ubcd503rc2.iso text to the name of the iso file that you have downloaded - wouldn't that be a good idea - or if that is too difficult, just change the name of the iso file on the flash drive using rename to ubcd503rc2.iso.

You just need to make the iso filename the same as in menu.lst.

  • when i try to boot it says...

    find--set-root /ubcd503 rc2.iso

    error 15: file not found.

what should the new menu look like because i downloaded the newest one yesterday it says its v 5.0.2 but the download says 503

  • what would be the new pen for the 5.0.2 version of ubdc

  • @dillonmurphy1992 Not sure what you mean? just change the filenames for the new ISO?

  • Comment removed

  • Can this be done with a USB external harddrive or can it only be done with flash drives?

  • @EazySPM Yes!

  • probably a limitation of running as an ISO - to check try installing as a flat file following this tutorial - use Google to search for 'tutorials USB Installation UBCDwiki' - link is first hit

  • Hmm boot working fine but having real problems to get Parted Magic from UBCD working... When I choose parted magic it will keep searching for the first file parted magic needs... any hints how to get it fully work ?

  • Thanks for the video and the site, been looking for a way to do multi bootable isos from a flash drive.

  • I tried Ubuntu 10.04 LTS iso copied in pen drive and Hiren Boot CD version 10.05... and added to menu list. Hiren Boot CD works perfect but ubuntu boot screen came up but showed me error Live file system not found...

  • @TheAkatushar See boot land net web site
