For example when someone doesn't finish eating something, and another person goes: 'Think of the people in Africa who don't have any food' Ok, so say the first person does eat the food, and really does think of those people with no food in Africa, it doesn't change anything, just their appetite XD Pointless going on about other people's lives, whom we have never met and never will, when some of us actually have our own problems!

People with the power to help go 'oh, well, not our problem', and then millions of people die before anyone figures out that those powerful people (or, in this case, countries) fucked up. Ha I really hate all this, it sounds bad, but I don't care anymore. For example when someone doesn't finish eating something, and another person goes: 'Think of the people in Africa who don't have any food' Ok, so say the first person does eat the food, and really does think of those people with no food in Africa, it doesn't change anything, just their appetite XD Pointless going on about other people's lives, whom we have never met and never will, when some of us actually have our own problems!

Your idea, also known as isolationism, is why things like the Holocaust of WW2 and the Armenian genocide happened. Just for your information. People with the power to help go 'oh, well, not our problem', and then millions of people die before anyone figures out that those powerful people (or, in this case, countries) fucked up. If we're able to help, we should, there's no excuse not to.

These kids aren't bastards! They didn't deserve anything that they're now facing! The LRA (Lords Resistance Army) is abducting kids to fight in the rebel army. If the kids don't comply or if they even show the slightest sign of missing home, they're killed. If they escape, they're lucky. The kids who haven't been abducted, live in fear of it. They commute every night, to sleep in verandas & bus parks to sleep on the ground with hundreds of other kids. They can't just "go get a job".
