Great flashlight! I have a few questions:

1 - Is that a DIY driver?

2 - I guess the LED is a 32-36V LED. What did you use as a power supply? 8 x 18650 Batteries?

3 - How hot does it get / how long can you run it / what heatsink did you use?

At this light level LEDs are not as efficient as I would like.

I built a Xenon strobe unit and HID unit in one in the same form factor, a lantern housing.

The HID unit came from a junked car, just the capsule and driver module.

The strobe is from a few defective photo flash units.

At least as much light, if not more, but MUCH cheaper.

This unit has mine beat in the cool factor but is an expensive build.

it looks like your cells are not balancing correctly, is this because you are running two circuits to specific cells in your lipo pack? otherwise, be careful, it could one day overheat and cause a nasty lipo fire.

Do you have some temp sensors in there? I'm assuming that you cut things down when the temp get's above a certain level. I've got to imaging that the fan at the back isn't going to be able to dissipate heat fast enough at full power.

Do you have a link to where you got the led array from?

Also, I have a few 30w led arrays here, after using them for a few months I always get some of the arrays burning out. Is your array still all functioning?
