This video means a lot to me,It starts at the street where I was born,Jln.Ehrich.

Then it shows the Nijlandweg,nowadays the Jln.Cipaganti,we live at Cipaganti

across the Mosk,the Mesjid.It shows also the Jln Cihampelas where my best friend lives,I wonder wether the Swiming pool Cihampelas still exists,and also the Zoo & Karang Setra...I saw the Governors residency,Cicendo wher my mum was born.

Also lots of other familiar streets and buildings,they trigger my curiosity

and homesick.Thanks

I was born in Bandung after the end of colonialization. I don't know how was the situation during that time, however, I adore how well the gemeente managed the city during those old days.

Indeed, Bandoeng was an attractive and pleasant city . Talking about Bandung nowadays I cannot switch in my imagination to modern-day Bandung. The old image of this beautiful place has still been haunting in my imagination and I keep on persisting it for fear to leave those people I have known and have still been living in my memories. Deze stad ligt mij na aan het hart, zelfs nu nog, ondanks de vele veranderingen die de Bandung van vroeger welhaast onherkenbaar voor ons hebben gemaakt. Maar met een beetje fantasie kan men de Bandung van vroeger in de geest oproepen met alles erop en eraan.................

It was in 1993 when I visited the Isle of Java and had a brief halt in Bandung where I took these pictures. Pasteurweg is said to be

an important road in the Dutch colonial time. Many Dutch tourists attach tender/emotional memories to this road.
