Anyone know a recruiter named Thomas Balash? He will LIE to your face to get to get you in the door and then duck like a scared 5 year old when confronted with his lies. Tom Balash lied to me, he lied to HR and he lied to the Labor dept.
well my dad is in his 15th year at schwans and I think he has done pretty well. He drove for 11 years and absolutely loved it. I guess if you don't like your job then all you can do is complain about the pay. As for my awesome dad, he is now the depot manager and has no regrets with his decision on working for schwans.
dough5, that is simply untrue. Post your source, if you have one. If the rest of you actually BELIEVE what you're posting about them "cheating", etc., report them to the State Dept. of Labor. Redbarn03 says it best: Partying can't be your first priority -- with ANY job! Twenty and 25 year employees aren't unusual at Schwans now and never have been. A college education doesn't guarantee you know how to do the job they hire you to do. You have to prove yourself there, like at any job.
@GraniteCityCitizen crooked company. was told 90% by my Sales Mngr but a recruiter told me it was over 100%. Schwans forces people to work without pay, doesn't pay holidays and generally just treats people like garbage. thats why you see people always quitting and crooked Schwans always hiring. saw your other post of CSMs making 140K-nice lie but totally untrue. look forward to seeing them go out of business
schwans lies. they cheat their employees and make them make up holiday pay. they will give you the day off, but make you come in the next weekend and make the day up. Schwans cheats the new hires on pay. they keep you as a trainee as long as possible and make you run and build routes of trainee pay do not trust schwans. 60+ hrs a week to run their routes and build their routes for only trainee pay. they reneged on 38k, they keep you at 32k

Actually not one year, it is longer unless you get some young guy in there who doesn't want to achieve goals and only cares about getting done and going to party. I know 20 plus year employees. You have to know what you are getting into before you commit to work. Also now that they are making salary plus commission. I don't think its too bad to make 38,000+ thousand dollars a year and not have any college education.
@dandyky you're being generous there! 1 year service with joke Schwans and you are a veteran.told by Ziebel who used to work for the joke company that retention was extremely low. Gee, sounds like a great job not getting paid, working 14hrs per day, working holidays. the schwans assholes cant even pay their people holidays but lie and say they do! Thanksgiving off without pay and Friday but work 6 days 14hrs week before and week after. unpaid sales meeting up to 3 days.
