  • to me english is a boring language, other languages seem so much more interesting. This is just in my opinion.

  • lol I study greek in my school. I don't enjoy it though cos I wanna learn french more.

  • There are parts that are very similar to the Biblical Hebrew version. Ofra Haza made most of the versions beautiful. And the fact they kept a bit of Biblical Hebrew in all versions was nice. It was so sad when Ofra died.

  • ofra is amazing ! and 17 different languages ? haha harddd

  • @FrikShowOhNo

    νμ

  • @FrikShowOhNo Wait, the same person sang all the different versions?! That's amazing.

  • Thank you thank you thank you for uploading this version! I don't know much greek yet, but I'm learning, and watching clips on youtube helps to show me what I do and do not know. It's a shame Ofra Haza died, she is an amazing singer, I know I would be nervous of messing up in singing a language I do not know, and she did well in all of them. God bless her, and those who work on this film, including the translators.

  • agree 100% RIP Ofra

  • @Mike0Powell yes she was absolutely amazing, and her Greek was excellent too!

Thanks for posting the vid' :D

  • ofra sings greek? that's freakin' awesome. her accent's good.

  • she died from aids may she rip

  • Ta dubs mas einai fovera. Telos.

  • Greek and Slovak must be the two most beautiful langauges in the world. Wish I could speak any of them. First thing on the agenda next year: start learning greek.

  • It's much more that an animation movie.

The whole movie is a work of art!!!!

  • I wholeheartedly agree. The movie and the music move me to tears every time!

  • apisteuto tragoudi!!!apisteuh fwnh!!!!

    apisteuti tainia!!!

  • I'm so surprised she can speak so good english, even though I have to say that I almost (when I didn't know it as her singing and not a greek woman), I knew there was something wrong with her voice, but it's normal, cause she's not greek...lol, there you have (?) it says ''the sweat, burning like a fire''

  • Her accent is really amazing!Rest in peace Ofra!:(

  • Its a great honor that Ofra Haza sung in our language. And of course was perferct like everything she sung.

  • Wow, is she really the woman who sings in that song?

  • yesshi is

  • I love listening to songs in different languages. They're always so beautiful; so much better than English!

  • ha! that's true

  • I like the English and Hebrew versions better, but this isn't bad. Plus it's obviously Ofra singing, rather than someone else.

  • m'aresei!

  • The River Lullaby sounds good in all languages EXCEPT English.

I love foreign music I guess.

  • ofra had very gorgeous voice

  • Woooow....listen the hungarian version....Moses' mother has very similar voice!!!!

  • I agree with you. I have with me the Hungarian Version.. "Megszabadíts", right? She have similar voice because she is the same woman!! Her name is Ofra Haza and she sang this music in 25 languages. If you pay attention, you'll notice that she has an accent in your language (At least, She haves an accent in my language - Brazilian Portuguese). Now, say me, She did a very good job, doesn't she?

  • Wow...cool....I haven't known this...do you know how hard to speak and learn hungarian language???It's one of the hardest language in the world...and one of the most beautiful too:))

  • Jó napot!! Szia!

Yes, I know how hard is to learn Magyar Nyelv, because I STUDY Hungarian!! At this moment. I'm ending to learn the pronunciation.. Do you know "Zsofiahale"? She says that my pronounciation is good.. Not perfect, but she can understand.. When I end pronunciation, I'll begin to study the grammar.. Well.. that's it!! Köszönöm!

  • Cool!!!!I'm so happy!!!I really love my language and I really respect people, who learn hungarian!

Than now you're half- hungarian too!!!Brother!:))

Szia!:D If u need help just text me!

  • @Micaelmag try this one (greek) believe me the greek language is the most difficult to learn because one word has another 1.000.000 words with the same meaning and one word with 1.000.000 meanings

  • @iloveakarichan5 you are right i am from greece and i still don't know the half of the words that exist in the greek language!!!!!!!!

  • @lupuscane I believe the Greek is more difficult and not one of the most but the most rich language in the world and Ancient Greek too! But ofc Hungarian is also very rich and hard! :D

  • @Micaelmag Really? I didn't know this. I have to say she does so great in Spanish, I hadn't even realized she wasn't Spanish at all. I have to say, that I have seen a lot of versions of this song (japanese, german, hebrew, brazilian...), and Miriam's voice is also very similar in all of them.

  • @Micaelmag wikipedia says she sang it on 17 languages

  • that's because it's the same person in ALL languages.

  • Not all - most.

  • holy crap, Ofrah Haza did the Greek one too? her accent is awesome.

  • @lupuscane its the same woman, ofra haza. she has done all the vocals out of all the versions

  • @lupuscane May she rest in peace.

  • This is my favorite version next to the Hebrew one which just about made my cry.

  • amazing...but the Hebrew version is the best!

  • thanks for uploading the greek lyrics. I already found a couple of typing and listening errors. I'll fix them.

Hope that the greek characters appear to english computers.

  • That yearning with her yemenite style of singging bursting the magic out in Greek. That is completeley out of this world!

  • Im Greek, very good version, but i like most the first one (English). I find it more riveting than the greek one. Both are riveting (=ka8ilwtikos), but the English one is some more...

  • Im greek and jewish also portuguese

  • wow....that's cool!!

  • Im lebanese and turkish... cool mix =]

i wish there was an arabic version or a turkish version of this song!!!!

  • I believe that a Turkish version exists, but I don't know about Arabic. (Given the content of the movie I wouldn't be surprised if they never bothered to make an Arabic version at all.)

  • I'm not Muslim myself, but I'm quite sure Moses placed a significant role for the muslims, also.

  • True enough - but it was banned in Egypt, and undoubtedly other countries as well.

  • I read somewhere that Ofra Haza sang for the Arabic version of the film.

  • Yeah, but since you also think she sang the Cantonese version, I hope you'll forgive me if I don't take your statements as accurate. It would be nice if there was an Arabic version, to be sure, but I don't know if there one is.

  • -shrug- I've looked around, haven't found one either. I'm just saying I read it somewhere, and it'd be really cool if I could find it. I really love the dialect, it's really pretty.

  • i love this version...the greek version is so beautiful!! Ofra Haza did a an amazizing job singing this.

  • So many languages...so many versions...the same yearning. Thanks for putting this up.
