@CrazyGuitarist15 Cobain never "voted down" any songs written by Dave. It was Dave who felt like his presence in the band wasn't "real",that he was just another guy in a long line of drummers. That's why he recorded his stuff alone initially, but later on he did write with them. They even recorded a song, written by Dave, where he does all the singing. Dave also came up with a song on In Utero, and Cobain expressed extreme satisfaction in an interview that he wasn't the only guy writing anymore.
