3. Mentions some application's of IR, for humans seeing in diff parts, but this vid didn't decide to pursue imaging passivle in other regions of the spectrul such as UV, or Microwave( Or terahertz, something too new for most ppl), or Radio imaging....
4. it depends on your def of "light"
5. I have a ton of questions abotu this subject, that i'm curious to find answered...nontheless ,the vid is nice for those who don't already know the spectrum...
1.The shortest radiation is not gamma ray particles, but actually cosmic ray particles. And yes, they extend to beyong way smaller than electrons.
2. Night VIsion cameras generally refers not ot Cameras that intercept THermal IR( Mid or far IR), but cmaeras that either see ormal light and amplify it 1000's of imes, or cameras that do this as wel as seeing a bit into the near infrared region( right beyond red, but invisible to us, also isn;t thermal, but is emitted bu objects 600F-higher)to be c
Thats fuckin crazy, thats insane, thats fuckin out of control, quick, somebody do something...The cunts are fuckin watchin us, there fuckin everywhhheeeerrrreeee...
she keeps sayin infrared is a form of 'light' but its not. light (which is visible to us) and infrared are just two examples of EM waves, of the ElectroMagnetic Spectrum. bloody cow should of taken A-Level Physics like me
This reporter needs to study the subject matter a little more. An infrared camera is not night vision. They are two entirely different technologies. Night vision amplifies existing light. An infrared camera detects heat emitted by an object.
i like your video..they are awesome :)

this is thermal not ir.
Hellafireleli 2 years ago
yeah genius, thermal imaging is based upon infrared radiation.
jaypob 1 year ago
Yes i know but it should be called thermal infrared. The title is just 'infrared', which to me means the fraction of light which we dont see.
Hellafireleli 1 year ago
Anyone know, what thermal camera is best to long distance? I need to buy one.

You should google the Dunning-Kruger effect and pause for reflection.

i was thinking about that too...but it is in the same family..it is IR too.
