The Crow instability is most commonly observed in the skies behind large aircraft, when the wingtip vortices interact with contrails from the engines, producing visible distortions in the shape of the contrail.

Seriously, though... snake trails like this start out as regular trails, and swirl into funny shapes. If contrails persist longer (due to climate change) we'll have more chances to see them writhe like this, before they disappear.
Well it's all quite simple: I saw the snake trails, grabbed my camera, uploaded the clip and started speculating just like the rest did. In this case I think the best guess of someone who has been intensively watching and filming the sky for a couple of years is as good as that of an aerospace industry worker. (aerospace has lots of workers, most of which just work on machine parts, indoors, no offense) But you could just as well be right. The best thing would be similar and complete footage.

The problem with all genuine phenomenon (like ufo's, ct's, ghosts, nde, evp, obe and the rest) is that a couple of 'wannabes' jump in with far-fetched ideas that discredit the real thing. You've probably seen so many fake ufos that you're tired of the bs right before the real one shows up;-) Same with ct's. There is more than enough evidence to support the case, but even more bs to discredit it. And ain't that just the setup? Take something real and destroy it with bs.

But burning hydrogen/hydrocarbons in the stratosphere is going to produce H2O, no matter what... and that means more and more clouds.

Where was this? This looks very much like a rocket trail. We see them once in a while here in southern California when they launch a rocket at dusk from Vandenberg AFB. The trail goes vertically through different windshear layers and gets blown into zig-zags and apparent loops. People who see them after-the-fact think the rocket went out of control.
I watched an RAF Tornado jockey do this over Northumberland, England a few years ago, as s/he & the back-seater were bimbling back home to Scotland one chilly Friday afternoon. Atmospherics quickly distorted further their nice wavey line across the sky, until it faded completely. What a way to make a living...
Admittedly, this vid does show some ostensibly dramatic turns -- thrust vectoring, perhaps? Who knows?
a plane could not make such drastic turns...its as if they had a hose hanging out flailing all over spraying whatever direction it went...helicopter maneuver trails?....damn strange for sure....

It's a contrail laid through an atmospheric wave - rare, but normal when it happens.

Contrails can last all day, and can actually trigger cloud formation.
Ground temperature readings won't help you much; it's approximately 2 degrees C colder with each additional thousand feet, up until the tropopause.
There's no such thing as a 'chemtrail'.

My guess is that the trails was first straight and then deformed in this strange way.
