You could perhaps compare living in Forks to living in Scotland, but Hogwarts (though we'd all like to believe otherwise) is a place a pure fiction. It does not exist; therefore, the comment is silly. It just goes to show how ridiculous it is to compare Twilight and Harry Potter in general; they're nothing alike and should not be compared.

my town is a lot alike (except not that popular) I live in the same town where jumanji was filmed. The factory was just changed into an apartment building, and i got to go inside and look when they were about half way finished... and in the basement they have the actual shoe machine. It's fantastic to have that in our town :)

Your hair is not bad! You should grow it so that when it's straight in the front it goes just below your eyes. then wash your hair before you go to bed sleeping on the side you want it to swoosh towards, and it'll be just fine. it doesn't have to be cut diagonally, horizontally with a razor blade tool gives a better effect. :)

Figures it was filmed in June. I went to Forks in July with my best friend, and right across the entire middle of the La Push log, we wrote "La Push has come to shove" in honor of Mitch Hansen. But alas, all you can see is the giant Jacob Black signature. But at least I can see the space we ended up filling in :)

I think it's pretty amazing that there is a real place where this series is featured. When I first read Twilight (everyone remembers their first time ^_^) a big part of what pulled me in was the atmosphere of the location. I'm also glad that the phenomenon has helped their economy so much. I live in a town where jobs are scarce, so I can appreciate how much that must mean to the people and businesses there. :)

As someone who lives in Washington State I think that the tourism is great, but It doesn't improve the image of my home state. I love how twilight came to theater's November 21, 2008, New Moon came to theater's November 20, 2009. Then twilight came to dvd March 21, 2009. And now New Moon is coming out March 20, 2010.
