I myself disagree mainly with the Ed vs. Father choice. That moment didn't even warrant itself in my top 5 epic moments for FMAB, let alone anime in general. I know, this isn't my list, but I'm just giving my opinion.

Well... people have been very negative about this happening in the series of dragon ball, i'm not rly a fan but i have seen it when i was little... Nonetheless, screaming in DB puts enfasis in a burst of emotions, such as anger (mostly all hard emotions lead to a certain lvl of anger in battle). All anime or most of them have the "emotion based power burst" in them. Screaming means reaching the maximum someone can take of a certain emotion, thus he cant remain silent

If you bothered to watch english dubs you would know that there is a stellar cast of english voice actors out there....this isn't the 80's, a lot more effort is put into successfully dubbing anime now. The only thing to be gained fron watching subs at this point is the smug hippster attitide of "oh that was better in the original japanese". Unless you speak fluent Japanese you are essentially just listening to gibberish & claiming it is better.

@SuperRayW From your comment I can tell you are the typical 'Subs are shit' kind of person. The main thing about watching in the original Japanese is the sheer depth of emotion the characters get into their voices, it's got nothing to do with a 'smug hipster attitude'. The basic fact is that the Japanese take anime a lot more seriously than the western world, and just listening to the emotion in their voices combined with the music and the scene is just infinitely more epic than the English dubs

@TheCR155 Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, G.I.T.S S.A.C , Code Geas, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist....all have flawless English dubs with amazingly talented voice actors, and those are just off the top of my head. Watch any one of them then come back to me and tell me they are lacking in emotion depth. Again I say this isn't the 80's anymore, Western culture has caught on to anime with a vengeance and take their dubs every bit as seriously as the Japanese now.

@SuperRayW I can't say much about the others but I have seen both FMAB and Death Note all the way through in English, and while they are very well done I stand by what I said, in terms of emotion they don't compare to the Japanese (except Greed, who has some amazing moments in the English dub). FMAB's English dub does the funny moments better than the original, but the epic moments like Al's sacrifice and Roy vs Envy are far worse. Plus Envy and Wrath's English voices really annoy me
