  • "It's not". I love the original version! The bass, that eerie layer of sound underneath everything, the glockenspiel-type instrument... It's beautiful. I don't agree that this is better, but I like it too :)

  • theres a little child running round this house he would never leaves he would never leaves and fog comes up from the sewers..... did you go bad

  • The only time Thom Yorke has failed was when he tried to cock up a song.

  • Can anyone explain all of his hospital bracelets?

  • @nightmissle hehe i think they're bracelets for admission into concerts or music festivals

  • Increible

  • "Baby alligators in the sewers, grow up fast, grow up fast"... Genius!

  • i wish thom would go against all his notions and give up his integrities for a brief moment to make the sappiest song ever, excercising his ridiculously great voice...it would be the biggest hit song of the year...if only

  • Wasn't very good? I could only dream of writing something so wonderful that, according to Thom's standards, wouldn't make the cut.

  • Simply Amazing!!

  • Thom Yorke

One of the best musicians who has ever lived and still going strong. God bless this man.

  • AWESOMEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  • What's your favourite albums? mine are hail to the thief, in rainbows, ok computer, amnesiac, the bends, kid a, king of limbs, pablo honey. bare in mind the bends is still in my top 10 favourite albums of all time haha!!!! Alex

  • @AleXMdN1 What's the 10th album?

  • @Vlodrak Whats the 9th album?

  • ..could you repeat whole speech again in French?

  • I disagree the first version was better, but this one is awesome too.

  • @euphrat0815 : Ray Cokes ... the master of ceremony (Radiohead acoustic live on Le Reservoir)

  • This version has more of the feel I think Thom was looking for. I heard this version before the studio version. And I agree with Thom.

  • I like how it ends so abruptly

  • oc... best setting to use this song for

  • one word: masterpiece

  • studio version please, Thom

  • WHYYYY!!! why is it so short? sniff sniff... this should last like FOREVER!!

  • i would love for this to be the last song they ever release, i dont know why but it just seems fitting

  • B.E.A.utiful! Radiohead never stop amazing me in pretty much anything they do! ... in other words... AWESOME!

  • best radiohead song

  • The only thing Thom has ever cocked up was my cock :) Thanks Thom !

  • this song is so phenomenal, i can't stop listening to it.

  • think he's wearing hospital wristbands

  • Lol he's actually funny! Omg I thought he was just hard and cold but the beginning was funny as haha

  • Erm.... what is he wearing around his left wrist? Just out of curiosity...... :O

  • @TeslaFactory

he is wearing music festival wristbands (obviously 'performer' ones, not ones for the audience). this was filmed while they were doing several european festivals. i guess thom never took them off after each show.

  • @abandonedvideos Ah, that makes sense :) Thanks for answering my question :D

  • This is beauty translated in sound

  • tears in my eyes

  • I actually to prefer the older version of fog to this one. but this is amazing.

  • 0:32 Free replay.

  • @XePhi0 just used this like 20 times thank you

  • also, as a side note, it sort of sounds like he's about to play the live version of like spinning plates before he begins...

  • I think this is one of the most gorgeous songs they've made. It's a bit of a pity that it gets relatively little attention. Plus, the studio version's wonderful too

  • @ollikenmaisey I agree! check out my video response I covered it.

  • is this on one of their EPs?

  • @palbo4 Com Lag: 2+2=5 (2004)

  • @palbo4 knives out

  • @palbo4 knives out single

  • I love the way he says baby alligators. SO CUTE!! :D

Definatly one of my favorite musicians next to Steve Drozd.

  • is that gem archer?

  • i don't understand, how can you sit down and invent something so unbelievable? how do you imagine the melody and lyrics? its astonishing

    baby alligators forever

  • @TheEnglishRoseGirl I agree! check out my video response I covered it.

  • As if he would ever cock anything up!

  • @xXFURMOXx

of course he does, it's human! it's what makes radiohead what they are. But even when he does so it's all part of that, so he's technically flawless xD

  • what was wrong with the old version? :3

  • @AnAirbagSavedYou the old version is the one with electroniccs efeccts?? i like this unplugged version sound more natural

  • @AnAirbagSavedYou according to thom yorke's ridiculously high standards, it just wasn't good enough.... this version is definitely good enough imo

  • @AnAirbagSavedYou Listen carefully at around 0:20... I think he says that because of this guy

  • I wonder how many of those people thought they were gonna listen to Like Spinning Plates...I would have been easily misled by that intro :P Oh well, they got yet another musical jewel, instead.

  • ok. This song has really grabbed my attention as of late. I don't know if anyone has ever thought of it this way but to me its a kid going off to college. Probably because I will be leaving the house in the next year or so, but still it has affected me deeply and I'd like to think thats what the song is about :).

  • listening to radiohead I get the special feeling inside that I cant describe...irreplaceable...like a drug...love them :)

  • well its official if somehow all radioheads albums were swiped from history and all they had were b-sides theyd still be my favorite band

  • Thom! you could never cock anything up. You is legend.

  • lol the guy at 0:47 has good taste in music :D

  • @TheEnglishRoseGirl

    HAHA great :-D

i was thinking the same thing

  • studio version > live version

  • @salvadordalionfire no.

    if anything they're equal

  • @superwiicrazy i agree!

  • @superwiicrazy what an absurd response to make to someone else's (subjective) opinion about music. get a clue.

  • @salvadordalionfire i think you got your arrow backwards dude. the alligator is supposed to eat the better choice.

  • Another reason to live.

  • Essa eh a musica do fim do meu amor. Sempre lembrarei de vc ao ouvi-la. Pq foi embora? Por que?

  • i have the COM LAG Japan compilation and this is the version on the CD!

  • brilliant

  • baby alligators

  • baby alligators in the sewers grow up fast, anything you want it can be done now, how did you go bad...

  • where can i get those bracelets he's wearing??

  • what does he say?? unless i --- what?????

  • @takovarra unless i cock it up

  • Master, genius, i want cry ahahaha

  • Only this song could make me instantly start sobbing and practically give me goosebumps on the soles of my feet.

  • Just perfect...

  • la emocion q me escuchar esta cancion, q groso lo de thom te hace un hueco en el alma, es realmente impresionante escucharlo, emocionante, desgarrador

  • Thom Yorke + Piano = Bliss.

  • Superb.

  • merveilleux...

  • why here say radiohead?

must be Thom Yorke - Fog

  • I am 16 years old, i've got wishes for my funeral written down. If i die young, I want this to be played at my funeral

  • @Boot0009 i hate people like you who say that shit. the song isnt even supposed to suggest death. you fail

  • @superwiicrazy Am i saying that it's about death? it's about reflecting and nostalgia. it touches me. I won't play a requiem or something that is about death or grief on my funeral. But something I liked and let's people think about ME and my life, not death. Don't say stupid stuff like that if you don't really know what someone means.

  • @Boot0009 well, i suppose that's fair, thoughI still don't like it when people feel the need to point out their "funeral music" on every other radiohead song i visit

  • @superwiicrazy I'm sorry, but i know i will still get touched by this song when I am at the end of my life. Which i hope is about 70 years away. The song impacts me this hard

  • I love how this is like the only band nowadays that is better live than on the record

  • Thom's bracelets make him look like he just got released from hospital - four times!

  • @Leibinz

    his wristbands are festival passes.

  • Tom Yorke rules!!!

  • i really am not gay...but i'd marry thom yorke lol XD

  • magnifique

  • Este grupo es lo mejor... best band ever...

  • please hear my cover at my space / inivan

  • Stunning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • fog=art

  • Words can't describe how much Thom Yorke affects his listeners in an amazing way.

  • what`s the song he plays for one scond at the beginning? thanks..

  • @davidecali very popular one, it's called 'Tuning up'

  • @davidecali comment reminds me of "flight of the conchords"

  • @davidecali It's the chords for "like spinning plates"

  • i could listen to this song till i die.

  • Beautiful...... seriously______ O_o

  • all the b-sides on the Knives Out single are good

  • i love that song the most

  • comfort

  • comfort

  • this is not true.....

  • whats up with all of his medical hospital braclets???

  • rofl, I think some french people in the crowd think he's saying the song 'fuck'

  • priceless..

  • What doe she say right before he plays?

  • "So this is a better version of it.

Unless I cock it up, in which case it's not."

    That part?

  • Clearly, one of this generation's greatest talents.

  • I don't think i'll ever find anybody who has effected my life as much as this man has....i might be gay for him lol

  • @jirdimaster 2nd radiohead video in a row that has a homosexual comment about thom as the most liked comment hah. what does that say about how awesome thom yorke is

  • @dkaroun Lol it says alot coming from me, that's hilarious, i had no idea anybody had thumb upped this.

  • @jirdimaster hahahaha tyoure gay!! hahahaha!.... meh -_- I think I am too ...

  • @jirdimaster amazing

  • @jirdimaster I know i'm gay for him, even if i'm a girl, haha

  • @jirdimaster you have a lot of effecting of your life left then

  • @dkaroun That was a poorly constructed sentence.

  • amazing song, heard it on the oc and its really nice

  • yeah check out my video of it on the oc

  • BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!

  • I'd like to be the piano to play this song...

  • Another relatively unknown masterpeiece from the world's greatest band. How can such a dour song be so beautiful? ... only Thom Yorke could pull it off. Brilliant!!!

  • I´m love with this song!!

  • fog? motif in t s eliot poems? or am i jumping a bit to far?

  • 2:32. .you can see him shaking.. wow!! he puts so much feeling into it

  • is this off a dvd because that would b great if i could pick it up

  • i was hoping that this would be a cover of wintersleep's fog. o well great none the less!

  • I know this has been said to death before, but never have I wanted to be a microphone more in my life than that one right there.

  • are you gay?

  • For Thom Yorke, maybe.

  • lol

  • Same feeling, buddy!

  • absolutely beautiful.

  • This is the very version from Com Lag, yeah? Beautiful performance.

  • v=qDdjGRhkM0M&hd=1

  • One of my favourite by them. He's pretty awesome.

  • THOM! What on earth is wrong with the studio version? It's great!

  • i love this version, but i dont know what thom thinks is wrong with the recorded version, that one is great as well.

  • they are both indeed perfection.

  • and honestly i preffered that version

  • He is the best

  • too fast... good moments have to be bigger lool

  • Great video Knives Out CD1 is what I have also.

  • i lyk when he says he's gonna play fog and someone in the crowd yells 'yeah!' then he looks into the crowd suspiciously asif to0 say. "you've heard this before"

    it's rare :P

  • if i had him that close to me, i would shout "yeah!" to any song he wanted to play.

  • all im saying is that he was suprised that someone either knew or pretended to know fog, being as it's quite rare =]

Although i would also shout before every track i knew yes.

  • yay

  • "This is a better version - unless I cock it up, in which case it´s not!"

Such a brilliant and yet modest kind of humour!

    RADIOHEAD RULES!!!!

  • I heard this version of the song long before I ever heard the original. Although I do enjoy the original, I can't help but feel if I had heard it first I would appreciate it more. It's a shame.

  • Do you know where i could find the original, cause i've got this live one on 'com lag' and haven't seen it on any other EP's.

    Thanks, fizzlewinks

  • In my iTunes it says Knives Out Cd1, not sure if that's the correct title though.

  • it is because fog it's the "b-side" of the knives out cd 1 (it exist the knives out cd 2, and the b-side is "cuttooth"
