@Wacke666 they should re-release it..bet it would be better than the garbage they are regurgitating these days.. same dumb copy-cat plots and movies made just to show new tech in special effects but the stories are weak or start out promising end end stupidly. Blade Runner was smart but may be over the heads of today's audiences. Btw, I think u meant "impact" ,not "input" in your comment! hee, hee!
Hi! I am from Poland You wrote exactly what I think about this movie. This is masterpiece! When I was a child I thougt about the same - possibilty to see the world which would look like this from "Blade Runner". Rain, dark, all the time night. Something what is difficult to explain but I have always felt it. Music - wonderful. Greetings from Poland.
@Wacke666 I know it sounds crazy but I would love to live in an air-polluted, high-rise world where the acid rain never stops. The film had such an impact on me like it did with you.
I'm 14 and have been through a lot, but compared to most mature adults, don't know much about life yet, so this may sounds naive, but it really seemed to make a statement about the cheapness of life and the fear we all hold of the future.
@Wacke666 Touche It is Brilliant and that ending beats all the movies I have ever seen and I'm 70 now so I have seen countless movies.
as Rutger Hauer kneels dying and recites those immortal words of a non mortal then releases a dove I cried, Ridley Scott had murder making that movie.
@jthittinger how about a wasteland detective, burdened with the journey of scavenging a darkened landscape. In hope of restoring a neon saturated city, to it's original zombie prejudice bloodsport
@cherrysweetable The fact that YOU personally don't see what's so good about it, doesn't mean that it isn't good. It's just your own opinion. I'm not actually a big Vangelis fan but as far as I know, he is a worldwide respected and recognised artist. Don't ask sorry. I don't believe anyone ofended just by one negative comment. And also why chariots of fire hasn't passed the test of time? Even today in TV when there is a scene with running, they often put that theme behind!
Vangelis just an incredible music talent. He's not the only one though. He complimented this movie a great amount. I still want to read the book this was based on. I can't help but not find answers to our problems in this world. Vangelis.... is like sitting down with wine and accepting that you cannot find them.
