Everyone was listening to everyone else...intently. Of course the impetus for French r'n'b was the Beatles wave and US import music .. so what!. What followed was a French pop music that is unequalled and amazing in it's own right. et moi et moi et moi
are you kidding me? the french totally ripped off american garage music. listen up, the french don't know anything about rock or pop except what they learned from america.
They should use this as Mini Me's theme song in the next Austin Powers. I can just see Dr. Evil and Mini Me doing this video with themselves in place of FH and JD.
It makes me sad when people aren't interested in music from other countries because they don't understand it or because it's not American. I'm not familiar with French music but there's J pop, K pop and many other wonderful genre's from different countries.
French pop rules. Makes me realize how much better european music is than american music, in general. So many countries that have something to offer musically..
@Nicholasmegalis Your right other countries do have a lot to offer in the music world of course, this goes without saying. But you have to agree on the obvious Bob Dylan influence... dude its obvious. Its so obvious of an influence it almost seems as if hes mimicking. But yea french pop in the 60's was awesome.
It has attitude, style and wit that gets you hooked on it right away!
You are so right about how much better European music is than American music in general, and it's so tru that there are so many countries that offer so much musically if only Americans will stop and check them out.
@antonfjordson sorry anton but this man would never have recorded this song if not for the kingsmen, the sonics, and the kinks - not a french band among them. the french are born without the gene for rock, therefore need to learn from others, namely brits and yanks. you know it's true.
@CultureNotViolence The Black Lips are influenced from Jacques
