Nobody had complete and utter mastery of the electric guitar like SRV. He could make it do and sing whatever he damn well pleased. This man and guitar were one being. Before I get pounced on, I know many people think the same way about Jimi, and while SRV was certainly not as innovative as Jimi, I think Stevie's playing is much cleaner and his vibratto is perhaps only a second best to Clapton. Let the comments flow!

@TheSkinwarrior: The guitar is a Hamiltone. Special designed for srv by Jim Hamiltone. You can't find the body apart cause it's one piece with neck. The neck goes straight into the body on a block of wood.

The rest of the body is hollow. Thats why you get that 'hollow' uber-thick overkilling sound. Very Unique and rare sound.

I thought the guitar part and vocals sounded familiar-This is the version from Live Alive. But I guess they overdubbed a good portion of the album in the studio, which is why the keyboard part is different on the album.
