THE fucking epitome of musical expression....Ry is a legend not to mention Bobby King,Terry Evans (not in this video) and the rest of his always top-notch musicians and backing vocalists
wow. wow. wow. wow. I can't believe this footage exists. thank you so much for this! And thanks for posting the personnel...I was wondering about the bass player.
Yeah, his body´s twitching around in a different world, like ray charles or something. That super distracted look like he´s keeping track of about a hundred musical threads beyond my understanding. This guy is #king amazing. Those three singers exude class, too. Who are they?
@travis91000 It says in the information box. If you search each name separately, there is a reasonable chance of discovering what kind of allstar team this is :-)
Don't you love the way Ry gets into his music ?? Just look at his foot stomping out the beat !!! I remember buying this album in London, just released in 1970 !!! Brilliant, thanks man !!!
Of course Ry rules, but I would like to appreciate the bassplayer as well, I think he is doing a teriffic job. Not to mention Jim on the drums. And the three guys doing the backing vocals - legends to them self as well. Probably this is an initiative from Ry, but frankly, this 'thing' would not hve happened if it wasn't for all the Artists involved. This session aught to be in the same league as the famous sessions that jazz-afficionados get all cross-eyed about.
One of my favorite song from Mr Cooder's repertoire with the great "Jesus on the mainline". Great band and wonderful harmony singers. Thanks for sharing this !

This is a great concert. I have got an audio version, so it is good to see another posting here. I'm losing count of his Hawaiian shirts.
